His BLOOD Saves us, NOT His life

Wednesday 041625

Acts 9:5 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

Ephesians 2:8 ‘…For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God…’ AKJV

Romans 10:9 ‘…that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…’ AKJV

Jesus, where millions of people this week will take part in the celebration of Holy Week, allow them Jesus the opportunity that their eyes could be unclouded so they could see what has been written for the Jewish nation and what was written for the Gentiles. Satan has polluted the vision of so many and so much damage has been done to the doctrine that is taught to us in Your Word, allow those this week to be able to see through the lies that Satan has filled throughout this world. We love You Jesus. Protect us and keep us safe so our future will be being in Your presence living our Life among You. Amen.

The Bible verses we’re going to use this morning are:

Matthew 26:28; 1 Corinthians 11:25, 15:1-4; Acts 9:15, 13:9.

This morning we’re going to begin our study, where I would love to catch ahold of some of my family members, friends of mine and those lost in this world, wandering around following beliefs that are not found in the written Word of God.

There are a lot of people that have told me the Bible is too hard to understand so they put it down almost as soon as they open it up.

The point I want to make to all of you that voice this feeling, listen, you’re being directed to that part of the Bible that has never been meant for you to follow.

I made this comment a while back, as well as many of the religions that are practiced today in America alone all preach, that Jesus died so that ALL of mankind’s sins would be forgiven; Jesus even told us this Himself at the celebration of the Last Supper with His disciples.

Matthew 26:28 ‘…This is my blood that shows God’s promise. When I die, my blood will pour out of my body. In that way God will forgive many people for the wrong things that they have done. That is the promise that God makes because of my death…’ EASY

Jesus’ death forgives mankind’s sins.

The Word of God voices this.

Why is it that so many people today, practice religions that focus on Jesus’ life and His teachings when it was His death that frees us ALL from our wrongs?

1 Corinthians 11:25 ‘…After they had eaten supper, Jesus took a cup of wine. He spoke to his disciples again. He said, This cup shows my blood that will pour out when I die. God now makes a new agreement to save people because of my death. Whenever you drink from the cup in this way, do it to remember me…’ EASY

Allow me to point out that Jesus states that when He dies, God is going to save people … why is it that so many won’t allow for Jesus to shed His Blood for them, they try so hard to keep Him alive.

These people continue to study His Life when it was Jesus’ death that allows them to be saved.

Do these people not desire to be saved by God?

The gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (MMLJ) are ALL gospels of Jesus’ life and His teachings He gave to the Jewish people.

The Gospel that ‘is’ found in the Word of God, that actually speaks of our salvation, our promise of Life is never taught to the congregations in this world.

1 Corinthians 15

vs1 ‘…Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand…’

vs2 ‘…by which you also are saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain…’

vs3 ‘…For I handed down to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures…’

vs4 ‘…and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…’ NASB

In your Bible, just after the four (4) synoptic gospels (MMLJ), a reader will find the book of Acts.

Jesus is crucified, buried and on the morning of the first Easter, Jesus is resurrected from the tomb. Jesus’ resurrection should portray to every one of us, the strength and power that God has.

Jesus’ death on the cross displays the Blood of Jesus which was given for the forgiveness of ALL mankind’s sins, all of mankind, Jews and Gentiles and All sin that has ever and will ever be committed.

After His resurrection Jesus returned to this earth to live with His people for forty (40) days.

After these forty (40) days, Jesus ascends to heaven to sit next to His Father.

It was this death, burial and resurrection which should have been the start of the New Covenant that God had promised.

But it didn’t happen the way God had intended. It wasn’t until the stoning death of Stephen by the Jewish Sanhedrin (Acts7), when God stepped in to make a change in biblical history.

This book after the four (4) synoptic gospels (MMLJ), the book of Acts, written by Luke (the same writer as the synoptic gospel of Luke), pens this change in biblical history.

Acts 1 through Acts 7, the Jews (Orthodox and believers of Jesus) remained as the Chosen people.

But in Acts 9, there is a notable change that our churches and religions forget to teach us today. I would rather point the finger on Satan than putting the blame on another human being for not teaching the truth that has been Inspired for us.

To me, here is the MOST pivotable verse found in the Bible.

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

This is Jesus speaking to Anaias in a vision about Saul of Tarsus.

This is Saul who was confronted by Jesus on his way to Damascus to capture those followers of the Way.

No where in the Bible is anyone told by God that we are to replace the Jewish people. No where is it written that we should follow their rules and practice their religion and take up their cultural festivals.

And yet religion after religion today, teach the life of Jesus and they recite His teachings that were all solely pinpointed to the Jewish ‘Chosen’ people.

Jesus in Acts 9:15 made the CHOICE of Saul to be the teacher for this entire world, to teach this world about God.

Jesus CHOSE and millions have decided to make their own choice and follow who they want to follow and believe what they want to believe in and not pay any attention to what is written in the Word of God.

These people have decided their choice is going to save them.

They think they are wiser than Jesus and His choice.

Will it take until they are standing in front of Jesus, at His throne before they will realize their err in judgement?

God gave us His Word to help us determine what He wants and how we should acquire and fulfil His wants.

This world is going to come to an end, and there is not a human alive that knows when this end is coming.

It is written in the Word of God that only, the Father knows for sure that date and time when the world will cease to exist.

Let me suggest to every one of y’all, open your Bibles and begin reading what God has determined for us.

Read it for yourself.

Let me also suggest that you begin reading in Acts 9 and listen to what God CHOSE for humanity.

Read the writings of Paul, Romans through Philemon.

Thirteen epistles that Paul wrote for our benefit.

Thirteen epistles that will get us ready for the future events planned by God and for our future.

Acts 13:9 ‘…But Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit and led by Him, looked steadily at Elymas…’ Amplified Bible

Here is a footnote found in the Amplified Bible:

Saul was the apostle Paul’s Jewish (Hebrew) name. As his ministry to Gentiles began he became known by his Roman (Latin) name, Paul.

Continue to study the words that God has given us in His Word.

Keep your Bibles always open and near you at all times so you will get in the habit of following His Word.

I love ALL of y’all.

I’ll be back next Wednesday.

I am InHIM.><)))o>

Jesus, touch those hearts out there of those that have heard this morning’s message. Allow them to wake up and smell the coffee brewing in the other room. Move them Jesus so they could react to Your Word. Amen.

FOLLOW what Jesus CHOSE

Wednesday 040925

Acts 9:5 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

Ephesians 2:8 ‘…For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God…’ AKJV

Romans 10:9 ‘…that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…’ AKJV

Jesus, be with us this morning as we open Your Word and become a voice that will speak to this world and help get Your Message out so their ears can HEAR Your positive sound. We love You Jesus. There are many people out there that want to FOLLOW You Jesus, but their eyes have been clouded by false prophets and false messages. Allow them Jesus to be able to HEAR the Word You have for them to hear. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

The Bible verses we’re going to use this morning are:

Acts 1:2-3, :9-11, :16; Matthew 19:28; Acts 7:59-60; Romans 11:11; Acts 9:15, 13:9; 2 Peter 3:15-16; 2 Timothy 3:16, 2:15.

The past few days, my wife and I have been two hours west of our house at our daughters house, taking care of three of our grandkids while mom and dad were at the hospital giving birth to Kim’s and my tenth (10th) grandchild.

I’m a little late getting this on Wednesday morning, but I should have it posted before Ten tonight.

I love y’all. Thanks for being patient.

There are days when it is difficult trying to spread the Message that God has given us, knowing the number of people that will not bother to listen to the words that we voice.

It’s just as hard knowing these people will also not open up their Bibles and check for themselves what has been written in the Word.

I struggle with friends and family of my own that I am unable to voice what is written in the Word.

But it is not up to me to change people’s mind, all I can do is voice what is written.

In previous lessons, I hope I have shown that it was Jesus’ blood, His death that made our sins forgiven.

So, the New Testament then, should begin with the Book of Acts.

From chapter 1 through 7 is a visual sight spotlighting the Jewish believer.

Chapter 1 begins with Luke writing how Jesus lived on this earth with us, He picked His apostles and after His crucifixion, He returned back to this earth for forty days living with the Jewish people.

Acts 1

vs2 ‘…until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen…’

vs3 ‘…to whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God..’ AKJV

Jesus was just crucified, He died and was buried, He was resurrected by God the Father and He returned to this earth for forty days and nights to live with those on this earth.

What should have been obvious to everyone, including us today in the 21st century, OUR SINS HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN.

After forty days, Jesus left those on the earth.

Acts 1

vs9 ‘…And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight…’

vs10 ‘…And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel…’

vs11 ‘…which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven…’ AKJV

The book of Acts, written by Luke (the writer of the gospel of Luke), is a very detailed part of biblical history.

Peter (the apostle), addressed his fellow believers:

Acts 1:16 ‘…Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus…’ AKJV

Peter remembered what Jesus told the apostles about them sitting on thrones alongside Jesus where they would rule over the twelve tribes of Israel.

Matthew 19:28 ‘…And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel…’ AKJV

Peter didn’t want to miss out on this opportunity. Peter also knew since Judas hung himself after turning Jesus in, there were now only eleven remaining apostles and Peter didn’t want to miss this opportunity to be a judge.

Peter knew there needed to be twelve since there were twelve tribes, so he began the discussion of needing a replacement apostle to take Judas’ spot.

Up to this point, all of the apostles were handpicked by Jesus Himself, but Jesus was gone so Peter took it upon himself, the other remaining ten apostles and 120 other people to pick out a replacement for Judas.

Is this why Jesus abandoned the twelve?

These remaining apostles, ‘THEY’ were going to  find a replacement by themselves … ‘THEY’ were only going to spread the message that ‘THEY’ wanted to spread, where ‘THEY’ wanted to go …

But the straw that broke the camel’s back was when Stephen was stoned to death by the Sanhedrin in Acts 7.

Acts 7

vs59 ‘…And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit…’

vs60 ‘…And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep…’ AKJV

God made an abrupt change in biblical history. God no longer only focused on His Chosen people to carry on His Message, God CHOSE to save the Gentiles.

God did this to make His Chosen jealous. God never told us that we were to replace the Jews, that we were going to take their place and collect their promises. God simply included us in Salvation.

Romans 11:11 ‘…I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy…’ AKJV

These are not words that Leon has made up in his mind, these are words that God has given us in HIS WORD.

Jesus, the Ascended Jesus Christ returned to this earth and confronted Saul of Tarsus on his way to Damascus to capture more Jewish believers (Acts 9:3-9).

God changed.

Acts 9:15, to me, is the MOST pivotable change in biblical history and the majority of mankind has missed it.

I truly believe this verse has been hidden from us by Satan himself … he doesn’t want us to be safe and with God.

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

The entire world was to be taught by Saul of Tarsus … Jesus’ CHOSEN vessel.

Acts 13:9 ‘…Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him…’ AKJV

Just about every church this Sunday will reference the gospels, from Matthew through John. They’ll speak of Genesis and Revelation but hardly any will quote from the thirteen epistles that Paul gave us.

There are people that will say the writings of Paul should be torn out from our Bibles.

Isn’t it strange that Jesus CHOSE Paul in the book of Acts, written by Luke.

Peter (the apostle) justifies the writings by Paul.

2 Peter 3

vs15 ‘…And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you…’

vs16 ‘…as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction…’ AKJV

Are we to tear out the book of Acts and 2 Peter also?

Where is it written in the Word of God that we can pick and choose which verses we want to abide by?

Open and read your Bibles and listen to the WORDS God has given us.

2 Timothy 3:16 ‘…All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…’ AKJV

ALL Scripture has been given to us by God and it has been inspired by Him … but nowhere in the WORD are we told we should FOLLOW ALL Scripture.

2 Timothy 2:15 ‘…Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth…’ AKJV

We should read and follow the Word of God that He has CHOSEN for us to follow.

We should divide the Word of God where He shows us a change.

Keep your Bibles open and continue to study the words that God has given us in His Word.

Pray and ask God for His help when you find yourself in a struggle with what you are reading.

Let God guide you in the direction He wants for you to go.

I love ALL of y’all.

I am InHIM.><)))o>

Jesus, keep us safe and in Your arms. There are so many in this world today that want to HEAR the truth. Help them find Your Word so they too can live a life of peace. I love you Jesus. Amen.

Jesus CHOSE

Wednesday 040225

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

Jesus, I ask for that person reading this lesson this morning, maybe for the first time this individual is desiring to be standing in front of you, wanting to HEAR Your Message. Allow me Jesus to be Your voice to speak the words You want for those ears to hear. I love You Jesus. Use me, to spread Your Message so Your truth can be heard. Amen.

The Bible verses we’re going to use this morning are:

2 Timothy 2:15; Acts 9:15, 13:9; 2 Timothy 3:16.

2 Timothy 2:15 ‘…Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth…’ NKJV

Let’s throw out the anchor right here for just a couple of minutes.

I used the NKJV version in this verse on purpose.

I hate it when people will voice their own opinion and say that the KJV is the only version of the English Bible that should be used. I’ve noticed, most times teachers using the KJV, in the process of reading the verse they will change a word from what has actually been written.

Here is an example:

2 Timothy 2:15 ‘…Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth…’ AKJV

There are those that will read this aloud and say: ‘Study to show thyself approved to God.’ That’s not what is written … it is a correct interpretation … but, it isn’t what is written.

In essence, these teachers are changing the Word of God.

They essentially are reading a different version of the AKJV translation.

They are doing the same thing that the GNT, EASY, or the NASB versions do, they rewrite what was originally written in a more familiar understanding style.

2 Timothy 2:15

‘…Do your best to win full approval in God’s sight, as a worker who is not ashamed of his work, one who correctly teaches the message of God’s truth…’ GNT

‘…Always try very much to serve God in a way that makes him happy. Then he will accept you as a good worker that he can trust. You must teach God’s true message correctly. Then you will have no reason to be ashamed of your work…’ EASY

‘…Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth…’ NASB

Our focus shouldn’t be on which version of the Bible we are reading from; our focus should be that WE ARE READING THE WORD OF GOD.

Our Bible today is made up of 66 books, however, not all of those books were meant, nor intended for every person in the world to read, obey and follow, especially, today in the 21st century.

In fact, today in the 21st century, Jesus chose for us to be taught, only thirteen books that are found in our Bibles. And those are the thirteen (13) epistles written by the apostle Paul.

How do I know  that you might ask, because that is what was written in the Bible written by Luke, in the book of Acts.

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

The Ascended Jesus Christ seated next to His Father in heaven, and came to this earth to confront Saul of Tarsus and then Ananias, a Jewish believer who was in Damascus.

Jesus CHOSE Saul of Tarsus to teach the entire world about Himself.

How can there be pastors, priests, churches and denominations that think they are wiser than Jesus, when they choose who they believe should teach us?

Here is another verse for you.

Acts 13:9 ‘…Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him…’ AKJV

Paul wrote thirteen epistles found in our Bible, beginning after the book of Acts, starting in the book of Romans through the book of Philemon.

But to go back to the verse I originally quoted from, it reads: ‘rightly dividing the word of truth.’

Rightly dividing the Word of Truth

Are we focusing on what Paul tried teaching us?

Are we FOLLOWING Jesus’ choice for us to FOLLOW?

Read your Bible and begin reading what Jesus intended for us to know.

The entire Bible, ALL 66 books have been written and inspired by God for ALL mankind, but we have never been told that we were to FOLLOW ALL 66 books.

2 Timothy 3:16 ‘…All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…’ AKJV

The word FOLLOW is not found in this verse.

There are many in this world that want to include that simple six-letter word into this verse.

But ALL Scripture hasn’t been meant for all of us.

Let’s end our lesson this morning on this. The Word of God was given to us by the Holy Spirit to help us through this life we are living in.

It is up to us to open the Word of God that we have been given and read what God wants for us and not get bogged down by what Satan has influenced so many throughout time to pass on to this world that we live in.

I love all of y’all.

Keep studying His Word and fill your life with His Love.

Jesus, help is needed to wake this world up and get them ready. We have been lied to for generations of mankind’s word and we have been convinced to put Your Word aside. Help me open ears and open the eyes of those in this world that really want to HEAR the Message that you have truly given to us. I love You Jesus. Amen.

I love y’all. I’ll be back next Wednesday with another message taken from the Word of God.
