READ the Word of God for YOURSELF

Wednesday 062525

Acts 9:5 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

Ephesians 2:8 ‘…For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God…’ AKJV

Romans 10:9 ‘…that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…’ AKJV

Jesus, as I am stuck with a message that I’ve repeated for a while now, I ask for that one person out there or for those people out there that might be reading this lesson. I want to ask for them that their eyes would be opened so they could see the truth You have tried to show us Jesus. It is so unbelievable that Your Message has been kept hidden from so many that desire to find You Jesus and search for the promise of the Salvation You have promised us. Allow them Jesus to follow me in this lesson and I pray there would be eyes opened to what You have deemed important for us to FOLLOW. I love You Jesus. Amen.

The Bible verses we’re going to use this morning are:

Matthew 26:28, 15:24; Acts 1:3, :4-5, 7:59, 9:15, 13:9.

There is so much voiced today on television, on the radio, in our newspapers and online, they all repeat the same message to: READ YOUR BIBLE.

There is a big hurdle that this entire world must get over for them to be saved from Eternal Damnation.

There are our pastors and priests from this world’s churches, there are television personalities that get involved, they’ll say, will you pray with me.

The list goes on and on but here’s an unheard concept, why don’t we read the Bible and listen to what Jesus is telling us?

How many people pick up their Bibles today and right away, they’re in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (MMLJ) or they’re reading Isaiah, Jeremiah or Daniel, Psalms or Proverbs?

Why don’t we, when we read the Bible,  follow Jesus’ lead and follow where He wants to take us?

Why are there those that think they have been specially blessed to be the only one that can interpret what God has tried telling us?

Jesus, when He raised His goblet, at the Last Supper, and told those original apostles, that it was His BLOOD that was going to forgive mankind from our sins.

Matthew 26:28 ‘…for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins…’ AKJV

Jesus’ DEATH is our promise of salvation …

We celebrate EASTER SUNDAY, so we remember Jesus’ resurrection.

But millions of people on Easter Monday (if it takes that long), will return to their Bibles celebrating Jesus’ ministry on this earth or they go right back into the stable.

Jesus’ ministry and His birth is NOT what is going to save us.

Jesus’ ministry was ONLY to and for the Jewish people.

Jesus came to this earth ONLY for the Jewish individual … He came to fulfill OT prophesy.

Matthew 15:24 ‘…But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel…’ AKJV

Why do our pastors and priests teach us these verses?

Why don’t the personalities on television speak the truth found in the Bible, why do they repeat what has been interpreted incorrectly for generations?

After Jesus was resurrected, He returned to His Father in heaven and then He came to live for forty days and forty nights on this earth with God’s Chosen people, the Jews.

The 1st chapter in the Book of Acts, begins where we are shown that Jesus returned to this earth after His resurrection.

Acts 1:3 ‘…to whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God…’ AKJV

Jesus told His disciples to remain in Jerusalem until the coming of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1

vs4 ‘…and, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me…’

vs5 ‘…For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence…’ AKJV

The book of Acts continues with the way things were when Jesus walked on this earth.

It wasn’t until when the Sanhedrin stoned to death Stephen, that God made a significant change in His previous promise to the Jewish nation.

Acts 7:59 ‘…And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit…’ AKJV

Acts chapter 9 is the beginning of God’s change … why is it that our churches don’t teach us this chapter?

Acts 9:15, to me, is the most significant change in ALL of God’s Word.

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

Jesus was crucified at the end of His earthly ministry. Easter morning, Jesus was resurrected from His grave. After Jesus had returned to His Father in heaven, He came to this earth to live for forty days and nights with the Jewish people and His disciples.

Jesus Ascended back up into heaven to remain seated next to His Father, but we are told in Acts 9 that Jesus returned to this earth to confront Saul on his way to Damascus to retrieve and take prisoner the Jewish believers, called the Way.

In Acts 9:15, Jesus CHOSE Paul to be the teacher to the entire world, every living person on this earth.

Why would this verse not be taught to us, everyday?

Why instead, do our churches return back to Jesus’ earthly ministry and stable at His birth?

Remember, it was Jesus’ DEATH that forgave us ALL of our sins and gave every person the promise of Salvation.

Here is an important verse and a footnote made by the writer of this version of the Bible.

Acts 13:9 ‘…But [a]Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit and led by Him, looked steadily at Elymas…’ AMP (Amplified Bible)

[a] Saul was the apostle Paul’s Jewish (Hebrew) name. As his ministry to Gentiles began he became known by his Roman (Latin) name, Paul.

Jesus CHOSE for Paul to teach this entire world about Himself and the Word … why are there those that go out on their own and follow who and what they decide to follow?

How can these people determine to take others with them?

My message has not changed that much since the Word was opened for me to see.

Even when I try and talk on other matters, I always back seem to end up in the book of Acts referring to 9:15.

Its okay for us to go against what our pastor or our priests’ are trying to teach us on a Sunday morning … the thing is this pastor, priest, their church or its denomination is never going to be able to SAVE anyone.

The ONLY One that is going to save us is JESUS CHRIST.

Jesus died for us so we could attain LIFE EVERLASTING in His presence.

I will return next Wednesday.

Open your Bible for yourself and read the Word that God has given to us.

The ONLY interpretation that is going to matter is how YOU interpret the Word of God.

Read and FOLLOW the lead of Jesus and follow in His footsteps.

TAKE UP YOUR OWN CROSS AND FOLLOW HIM.

I love ALL of y’all.

I am InHIM.><)))o>

Jesus, I ask for those people that so much desire to find You, but they have been overly influenced with the lies and tales they’ve heard from Satan’s fleet of false teachers found throughout this world. Jesus I have family and friends that I wish could also be influenced by You so they could find Your truth and they could stop listening to the lies they’ve been taught  for years. I ask that You would send the Holy Spirit to them Jesus and in His presence, hopefully they could find You. I love You Jesus. Amen.

HEAR His Word

Wednesday 061825

Acts 9:5 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

Ephesians 2:8 ‘…For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God…’ AKJV

Romans 10:9 ‘…that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…’ AKJV

Jesus, be with us this morning as we study Your Word that You have given us. We love You Jesus. Amen.

The Bible verses we’re going to use this morning are:

2 Thessalonians 2:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Acts 17:29; Romans 1:20; Colossians 2:9; 1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; John 14:26; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; Acts 9:15, 13:9.

Too often today in the 21st century, our priests, pastors, churches and their denominations, rely too heavily on ‘THEIR’ word or ‘THEIR’ religion.

They teach those in attendance ‘THEIR’ interpretations and ‘THEIR’ beliefs and what is so amazing, the majority of their congregation will tell you they choose that particular house of study because of the priest or pastor, the music that is played throughout the service, the comfortable seats, the heating or air conditioning and some will even voice they prefer certain churches because of the free coffee and doughnuts.

As sarcastic as I can voice this: I would imagine this is really NOT a strong foothold to stand on when you are standing in front of Jesus Christ about to be judged … just saying.

The Word of God was given to each one of us.

We weren’t given the interpretation that another person interpreted as they read what has been written.

We each have been given the Word of God to be read and interpreted by ourselves.

God gave each one of us His Word, the Word of God for each one of us to read and interpret for ourselves.

Now, right at this point, I can sense different directions I could take off, all for a different sermon … but this morning I want to focus in this direction I’m going.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 ‘…Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition…’ AKJV

The amount of versions that this one verse is available in, in itself could be one of those directions that we could have taken off into.

But let’s remain here and focus on the words that are used.

falling away

Here is another version written in English, of the same verse.

‘…Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the [a]apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great [b]falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition)…’ AMPC (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

[a]-apostasy-a possible rendering of the Greek apostasia is departure [of the church].

[b]-falling away-a possible rendering of the Greek apostasia is departure [of the church].

Here is another version in English of the same verse.

‘…Let no one deceive you in any way, because it will not be present unless the apostasy[a] comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed – the son of destruction…’ DLNT (Disciples Literal New Testament)

[a]-apostasy-rebellion, falling away, abandonment.

I found the next article on google.com, it is an explanation for 2 Thessalonians 2:3.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:3, the Greek word for falling away is ἀποστασία (apostasia). This word is used to refer to a departure or defection, often understood in the context of a falling away from the faith. The verse in original Greek reads: Let no one deceive you in any way. For [the day of the Lord] will not come unless the apostasy comes first. [1]

The reason I am spending so much time on this one verse found in our Bibles, this is the verse where there are believers today that believe in the Rapture of Jesus’ Church.

This ‘falling away’ or ‘departure’ is told to happen just before the Day of the Lord.

Throughout our Bibles, the Day of the Lord is the promised seven years of Tribulation that remains as punishment on the Jewish nation.

This all originated from the seventy weeks written about in the book of Daniel.

Jesus’ Church has NOTHING to do with that part of Jewish prophecy.

If we as a people, never open the Word of God and read what God has intended for each one of us to be made aware of, we are going to be defeated, in this case, we are going to miss the removal of Jesus’ Church from this earth so we can be in the presence of Jesus, forever.

Here is the greatest promise for us today found in the Word of God.

1 Thessalonians 4

vs13 ‘…But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope…’

vs14 ‘…For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him…’

vs15 ‘…For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep…’

vs16 ‘…For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first…’

vs17 ‘…then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so, shall we ever be with the Lord…’ AKJV

This is not Jesus’ 2nd Coming written about in Revelation. Jesus NEVER steps foot on this earth during the rapture, He comes and calls us to join Him in the air, in the clouds, where we will remain with Him (in His Presence), forever.

Many people don’t believe in the Rapture because the word is never mentioned in the Bible … true, so very true … but neither is the word Trinity and just about every person that calls themselves a Christian believes in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit today.

Instead of the Word using the word Trinity it uses the word ‘Godhead.’

Acts 17:29 ‘…Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device…’ AKJV

Romans 1:20 ‘…For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse…’ AKJV

Colossians 2:9 ‘…For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily…’ AKJV

I found this on google.com to help explain:

The concept of God as three in one, known as the Trinity, is a central doctrine in Christianity, suggesting that God exists as Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit, all equally divine and yet distinct. While no single verse explicitly states three persons, one God, several passages support this idea. [2]

1 John 5:7 ‘…For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one…’ AKJV

Matthew 28:19 ‘…Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost…’ AKJV

John 14:26 ‘…But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you…’ AKJV

So, we have just seen that the word Trinity is NOT used in the Bible, but the word Godhead is used, and the meaning of the Trinity has been shown.

So, then instead of using the English word Rapture, let’s use what is written in the Word of God.

Caught Up

1 Thessalonians 4:17 ‘…then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so, shall we ever be with the Lord…’ AKJV

There is so much written in the Word of God, that if we never open our own Bibles and read God’s Word, we are going to miss out.

Not only that, but there is also so much written in the Word of God that has never been written to us Gentiles, especially us in the 21st century.

Our places of worship never tell us that though. This is all part of the mystery that has been laid at our feet.

Maybe another way of looking at it:

SATAN DOESN’T WANT US TO BE TOLD THE TRUTH … SO THAT WE’LL KNOW !!!

He’d rather keep us in the dark. He’d rather us live a life of torment instead of attaining the promise of LIFE that He once had and blatantly threw away.

This world, throughout the entire Word of God, is made up of two (2) types of people:

Jews and non-Jews (Gentiles).

The entire Bible was written to and for the Jew.

Us Gentiles, we were given thirteen (13) books, written by the apostle Paul.

Here is to me, the most powerful verse found in the entire Bible for the Gentile today.

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

Jesus CHOSE Saul of Tarsus to teach the entire world about Himself.

Acts 13:9 ‘…Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him…’ AKJV

A footnote found in the Amplified Bible.

Saul was the apostle Paul’s Jewish (Hebrew) name. As his ministry to Gentiles began he became known by his Roman (Latin) name, Paul.

Our churches forget to read to us these simple, yet powerful verses found in the book of Acts.

A complaint I have for many of the churches found today in this world, we live throughout the entire year for Easter Sunday when Jesus is resurrected from His tomb.

Jesus is made NEW, we are all promised newness, new life because of Jesus’ resurrection and then that very next day, Easter Monday morning (if it takes that long), people will return to the stories and tales of Jesus’ ministry, teachings on this earth (MMLJ).

It was Jesus’ death that saved us ALL. It was Jesus’ death that forgave ALL of ALL mankind’s sins.

Why do so many keep returning back to Jesus’ life, His life will not save us, it was His death that promised each one of us LIFE.

Join us again next Wednesday when I return for another lesson.

I love ALL of y’all.

I am InHIM.><)))o>

Jesus,  I ask that there will be at least one person out there that will see and hear this message. I pray and hope that they will find You. I love You Jesus. Amen.

Read the Word of God and HEAR His truth

Wednesday 061125

Acts 9:5 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

Ephesians 2:8 ‘…For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God…’ AKJV

Romans 10:9 ‘…that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…’ AKJV

Jesus, Help me Father to reach out and touch that person out there, that is so badly wanting to find You. Help me Jesus show people how many times they have been lied to by those in this world spreading a false gospel. Jesus, You made it possible for every person in this country alone; to own and possess You’re Word that You desire from us. Help them Jesus to find the strength within themselves that they would open Your Word so they could be ARMED and SAVED with Your love. I love You Jesus. Amen.

The Bible verses we’re going to use this morning are:

Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-24; Luke 22:19-20; Matthew 15:24; 2 Timothy 3:16; Romans 11:11; Acts 9:15.

Please study with me this morning, not with what I believe in, or what your pastor, priest, church or its denomination may preach to you, but rather, let’s study WHAT HAS BEEN WRITTEN IN THE WORD OF GOD, our Holy Bibles.

To begin with, the Word of God was kept by the Jewish nation, in the form of scrolls, which the Jewish Orthodox Pharisees read aloud daily to the Jews.

The Jews that visited the synagogues were able to hear the writings that had been passed down from generation to generation.

Jesus came to this earth to fulfill Old Testament prophesy that many of these Orthodox Pharisees had overlooked.

This is the same problem we find today in the 21st century, the teachers of the Word of God have simply overlooked what God has given us in His Word and instead they are only preaching what they or their church and denomination follow.

Teachers, pastors, priests, churches and their denominations found in this world today are not going to save you … the ONLY One that can promise you Everlasting LIFE is Jesus Christ, Himself.

There are too many today that have either overlooked God’s true Message, or they have been convinced by Satan himself, to teach what he wants this world to hear instead of this world HEARING what God is trying to tell us.

Let’s first begin with what Jesus taught  us while He walked this earth in His earthly ministry to the Jewish people.

Matthew 26

vs26 ‘…And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body…’

vs27 ‘…And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it…’

vs28 ‘…for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins…’ AKJV

Mark 14

vs22 ‘…And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body…’

vs23 ‘…And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it…’

vs24 ‘…And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many…’ AKJV

Luke 22

vs19 ‘…And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me…’

vs20 ‘…Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you…’ AKJV

Jesus is telling His disciples at the end of the Last Supper, that through His death, mankind’s sins would be forgiven, ALL mankind.

Many should ask themselves; do they really believe in what Jesus spoke of at the Last Supper?

Ask yourself: do you really BELIEVE what Jesus voiced?

That His BLOOD would forgive ALL of mankind’s sins.

Why is it that today in the 21st century, as soon as Easter, Jesus’ resurrection is celebrated after His death on the cross at His crucifixion, so many in this world that call themselves Christians, will immediately return back to Jesus’ earthly ministry the day after Easter Sunday and relive His life, once again?

His ministry while He walked this earth was ONLY to the Jewish people.

Not only that, but Jesus’ earthly ministry, when He was alive, before His death, burial and resurrection … no sins were promised to be forgiven to anyone.

Jesus was brought to this earth to fulfill prophecy that was made to the early Jewish forefathers.

Jesus even tells us this Himself, He tells us He came only for the Jew.

Matthew 15:24 ‘…But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel…’ AKJV

Why do so many today call themselves believers but they won’t even open up their own Bibles and read His Word that He has given us?

Why are there those that will only read the parts of the Bible their church teaches to them to read?

ALL Scripture has been given to us by God, Himself.

2 Timothy 3:16 ‘…All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…’ AKJV

Don’t allow yourself to be trapped into believing what has not been written in this verse … WE HAVE NOT BEEN TOLD TO FOLLOW ALL SCRIPTURE.

Don’t allow yourself to be tricked and fooled by Satan.

ALL Scripture is given to us by God, but NOT ALL Scripture has been meant for ALL OF US to FOLLOW.

After Jesus resurrection, He came to this earth to live with the Jews for forty days and forty nights.

Eventually, Jesus Ascended up into heaven to remain sitting next to His Father.

This time after the ascension is written about in the Book of Acts, written by Luke, the same writer of the synoptic gospel of Luke.

Acts 1 through 6 are all about the failure of the Jewish individual living in the manmade Orthodox religion.

God remained alongside His Chosen people until chapter seven when Stephen was stoned to death by the Sanhedrin, Acts 7.

It was after this stoning of Stephen when God no longer walked alongside His Chosen people, the Jew.

In Romans we can read where God put His Chosen people on the back burner.

Romans 11:11 ‘…I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy…’ AKJV

God determined to no longer keep His
Chosen in the front of the line. God didn’t write anywhere in His Word that the Gentiles in this world were to simply replace the Jewish believer either.

God made a change in His approach to His promise of Everlasting Life, He no longer only wanted to save the Jewish people, GOD DESIRED TO SAVE ALL MANKIND.

In Acts chapter 9, God chose Saul to be His CHOICE to teach the entire world what He, wanted the people of the world to know.

I believe the most powerful verse found in the entire Bible is when God makes it clear who He CHOSE.

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

God NEVER changed what He wanted. His change was from saving only the Jewish people, to now be saving EVERY person on the planet earth that believes what God wants from us.

The apostle Paul wrote thirteen (13) epistles that we are to learn what it is that God wants from us so we can attain Everlasting Life.

And just as obvious, it is up to us to read what God wants from us.

Satan doesn’t want each one of us to be saved.

He wants for us ALL to be destroyed so we can not attain what Satan himself, once had.

Read your Bible and go beyond what some man tells you to read.

Read the Word God wants you to HEAR.

I will be back next Wednesday.

I love ALL of y’all.

I am InHIM.><)))o>

Jesus, I hope there are those out there in this world today that desire to find You Jesus. Comfort them and keep them near to You. Allow them to HEAR the Message You want them to HEAR. I love You. Amen.

What do I need to do to be SAVED

Wednesday 060425

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

Romans 10:9 ‘…that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Ephesians 2:8 ‘…For by GRACE you have been SAVED through FAITH; and this is not of yourselves, it is a GIFT of God…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

1 Timothy 3:16 ‘…Beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, was vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Let’s together, open the Word of God this morning, and study what we have been given. Allow me to help you in your study and search the Bible what God has intended for us to hear.

The verses we are going to study tonight:

Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9; Acts 3:19; Mark 9:32; Luke 18:34; Matthew 10:5-6; John 3:16; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 2:15; Acts 9:15, 13:9; Galatians 2:7-9; 2 Timothy 3:16.

To that believing Christian out there in this world today, here is a simple question for you:

What do you need to do to get Salvation so you can attain the promise of Everlasting Life in heaven with Jesus Christ after you die … according to what the Word of God tells us, not what your priest, pastor, church or its denomination preaches.

I myself have been having a difficult time understanding why the message I have been proclaiming is so hard for people to accept.

As I’ve been trying to decipher what might be the problem, I think I might have stumbled onto something, so, I’m going to try and voice this for the first time.

For the BELIEVING Christian today to be saved, we MUST first BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christ. This means that we MUST BELIEVE that Jesus died on a cross for our sins and that He was resurrected from the tomb. We must not be embarrassed to voice to others about our God. We must repent, but that repentance is more than asking for the forgiveness of our sins, Jesus did that when He died on the cross, He died for the forgiveness of our sins.

Repent here means that we must change. We must change the way we live our lives. We must change the way we act towards others, but maybe the most important thing we can do is we must change the way we listen to God. WE MUST ALLOW HIM TO SPEAK TO US.

Acts 16:31 ‘…They said, believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Romans 10:9 ‘…that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Acts 3:19 ‘…Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

The words we MUST HEAR from God is ONLY found in the Word of God.

This is maybe our largest problem that we will find today in our lives because there are NOT enough people reading the Word of God for themselves, too often people depend on listening to their pastors or their priests to inform them what the Word of God says.

People …

Your pastor is NOT God!!!

Your priest is NOT God!!!

All of the writings that were written before Jesus died on the cross, cannot be writings that were written for our Salvation.

Our Salvation came from Jesus’ DEATH on the cross.

Jesus’ death and His Resurrection is our promise to Everlasting Life.

Therefore, the original apostles couldn’t have taught or written about a promise of life after Jesus’ death and His resurrection because they didn’t know about  neither one, His death or His resurrection.

Jesus tried telling them on three (3) different occasions, and all three (3) occasions are documented in three (3) different synoptic gospels, but the writers of those gospels, didn’t know about the promise of life for us Gentile’s when Jesus died and was resurrected.

Here are the two (2) verses that tell us the original apostles didn’t know what Jesus was talking about.

Mark 9:32 ‘…But they did not understand this statement, and they were afraid to ask Him…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Luke 18:34 ‘…The disciples understood none of these things, and the meaning of this statement was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend the things that were said…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

The apostles had no clue what it meant to be raised from the dead.

How could they teach a Gentile about life after death, Jesus taught them to not go to the Gentiles?

Matthew 10

vs5 ‘…These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not…’

vs6 ‘…but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel…’ AKJV

The awkward and totally honest truth is that the original apostles couldn’t and didn’t do anything for us.

The most famous verse known today by those that attend a church is:

John 3:16 ‘…For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

This was written to the Jewish believer that only needed to believe that Jesus was the Son of God. Jesus was the promised Messiah, promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, way, way back in the OT.

For us to memorize this verse in the 21st century, us Gentile’s, this verse will not do anything for us. This verse was written ONLY for the Jewish believer.

Romans 15:4 ‘…For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Here is a verse where God is alerting us to become aware what we study in the Word.

2 Timothy 2:15 ‘…Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth…’ AKJV

Are you taking heed and observing what Word your listening too?

These old (OT) writings in our Bibles are not for us to obey or for us to acquire the GIFT of salvation, but rather, we’ve been given these writings to teach us.

To teach and to encourage us to seek more of what has been written in the Word.

I hope I have shown that the OT and the synoptic gospels were never meant for us to attain our salvation, but they instead were to keep us engaged and keep us in the Word of God.

To me, the ONLY verse that clearly shows who should teach me about God and my salvation, is found in Acts.

The book of Acts was written by Luke.

Acts 9:15 (this is Jesus talking to Ananias)

‘…But the Lord said unto him, go thy way: for he (Saul) is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

‘…But the Lord said to Ananias, go! This man (Saul) is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel…’ NIV (New International Version)

‘…The Lord said to him, go, because I have chosen him (Saul) to serve me, to make my name known to Gentiles and kings and to the people of Israel…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

‘…But the Lord said, go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel…’ NLT (New Living Translation)

‘…The Lord said to Ananias, go! I have chosen him (Saul) to tell foreigners, kings, and the people of Israel about me…’ CEV (Contemporary English Version)

Here is another verse found in Acts for you.

Acts 13:9 ‘…Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

Here is a footnote found in the Amplified Bible for Acts 13:9.

Saul was the apostle Paul’s Jewish (Hebrew) name. As his ministry to Gentiles began he became known by his Roman (Latin) name, Paul.

Jesus chose Saul / Paul to teach the Gentile people.

Jesus chose Saul / Paul to teach the kings.

Jesus chose Saul / Paul to teach the children of Israel.

How can there be pastors, priests, churches and denominations today that still teach using anything other than what Paul wrote for and to us?

It is mostly because those people listed above don’t read the Word of God today. In their own minds, they’re too wise for the Word. They listen and read their own denominational papers. They trust and believe in them more.

Another incident that is recorded in Acts, is that of the Council that was held in Jerusalem, in 50AD.

The meeting was between all of the apostles; the remaining eleven original apostles and Matthias, the apostle chosen by man to fill Judas’ spot (after his death), and finally, the apostle Paul, who was the last apostle to be chosen by Jesus.

The outcome of the meeting was that Paul would spread his message to the un-circumcised (the Gentiles) and the remaining original apostles would continue to spread their message to the circumcised (the Jews).

If their going to continue, that’s the proof saying that’s who they did preach to.

Here is that same event, taken from the book of Galatians.

Galatians 2

vs7 ‘…But on the contrary, seeing that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised…’

vs8 ‘…for He who was at work for Peter in his apostleship to the circumcised was at work for me also to the Gentiles…’

vs9 ‘…and recognizing the grace that had been given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, so that we might go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

A handshake and two entities were able to get along with each other. Wouldn’t it be something if we could settle things in this world today as easy as they did in 50AD?

I want to clarify my point on what has been written in the Word.

2 Timothy 3:16 ‘…All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

The Word tells us that ALL Scripture has been Inspired by God.

There are benefits in the Word for us to teach others as well as for ourselves to read and learn from.

But even with that (one) added sentence that I’ve included, just  for this lesson, nowhere are we told in this verse that ALL Scripture is meant for us to FOLLOW.

It’s also not written that ALL Scripture will save us from Eternal damnation.

We are never ALL going to agree fully with everything that has been said.

This is maybe the best time for me to state that is the reason why each one of us should open up our own Bibles and read the Word that God has given us.

This life we live in is hard. We are fighting obstacles all day trying to survive another day.

Do yourself a favor and put on the armor that God has given us and go out into this world and be protected from the evil found in this world. (Ephesians 6:14-17)

Keep your Bibles open and continue to study the Word that God has given to us.

I love ALL of y’all.

Be blessed.

I’ll see you next Wednesday.

Jesus, I pray that those ears and eyes, either listening or seeing this message today would be opened to the very fullest and allow Your love to come inside their lives and comfort them. Teach us Jesus. Protect us. We love You. Amen
