While working on a lesson, I came across a subject that encouraged my curiosity a little, and maybe we each should re-look at how we each have interpreted the Word.
I was watching the television the other morning, when the station I was watching, moved to a live shot of the spacecraft going up in Florida on its way to mars … for some reason my mind flashed immediately to the tower at Babel.
An explanation given on google.com:
The tower of Babel is a biblical story from the book of Genesis about a unified, single-language humanity that built a tower to reach the heavens.
Is that not the same thing we are doing with rockets and telescopes orbiting in space today?
Maybe these people are not searching for God, but they are looking elsewhere for an answer to their questions; they are reaching out for the heavens.
And then this morning I seen on social media a man speaking about OT prophecies and how they were coming to fruition.
First he stated that the Euphrates river was drying up.
Revelation 16:12 ‘…And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared…’ AKJV
Then this man spoke on the re-establishment of Israel as a nation. Ezekiel 37 is a prophecy that was written back around 600 BC.
Other prophecies were written about wars and conflicts and that is just about all that is found in the news today.
Prophecies of natural disasters, earthquakes, famines and pestilences preceding Jesus’ return. I live in NC and here lately, there are earthquakes recorded every week. Is it because our equipment just got really good or is it clearly fulfilling the prophecy that we have been given by God.
Another prophecy was of the moral decline in humanity. Just for a moment, look at our country alone and look at what is going on in our streets.
For several years I have promoted the question where I asked people: ARE YOU READY ?
If God turned off the switch and the world as we know it was finished, are you going to heaven when Jesus calls us at the Rapture or are you going to remain to experience the tribulation and the Lake of Fire?
This morning, I hope, if I have done nothing else, is to entice each one of us to OPEN our Bibles and READ the words that God has given us.
I know hundreds of those reading this went to church yesterday.
If what you were taught in yesterday’s service, if the message that you heard cannot be backed up in Scripture that is meant for our ears today, do yourself a favor and don’t go back.
Spend next week, for one hour sitting at your kitchen table and reading the words that God has given for us to HEAR.
We are told in Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV
This is from Jesus’ mouth, the crucified, resurrected and ascended Jesus speaking to Ananias about a man that He has CHOSEN to teach the entire world.
If you read a ‘RED LETTER’ Bible, the above verse is written in RED ink.
Why do man’s religions today teach from MMLJ (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) ?
These words were written for the Jewish individuals.
God made a change in the Bible. This change is shown, beginning in Acts 9. In Acts 9:15 God CHOSE Saul of Tarsus to teach the entire population of mankind by Saul of Tarsus.
Here is another important verse found in Acts.
Acts 13:9 ‘…But [a]Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit and led by Him, looked steadily at Elymas…’ AMP (Amplified Bible)

[a] Saul was the apostle Paul’s Jewish (Hebrew) name. As his ministry to Gentiles began he became known by his Roman (Latin) name, Paul.
God wants us to READ the writings of Paul. Paul wrote the thirteen epistles from Romans through Philemon.
