080526 – 1CORINTHIANS 15

This morning we are going to HEAR the Gospel that we have been given.

1 Corinthians 15

vs1 ‘…Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand…’

vs2 ‘…by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain…’

vs3 ‘…For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures…’

vs4 ‘…and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures…’ AKJV

Paul begins chapter 15 with the words that will SAVE all of us, all we have to do is BELIEVE.

We MUST believe the words written in the Gospel that was given to us by the apostle Paul.

We MUST believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, we MUST believe that His body was buried, and we MUST believe that on the third day, He rose to LIFE.

That is what is written in the Gospel.

There is another verse that we should pay attention to.

Romans 10:9 ‘…that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…’ AKJV

WHY would God have told us this if it wasn’t meant to mean anything for us?

READ God’s Word again …

Romans 4

vs24 ‘…but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead…’

vs25 ‘…who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification…’ AKJV

2 Timothy 2:8 ‘…Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my Gospel…’ AKJV

1 Thessalonians 4:14 ‘…For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him…’ AKJV

This is not written in any other book written in the Word … it wasn’t meant to be.

God intended this book for the believer.

God intended this apostle for the one that would teach us BELIEVERS.

God wanted us ALL to HEAR this Message that He has given us … ALL ANYONE OF US HAVE TO DO IS OPEN HIS WORD AND READ WHAT HE DESIRES FOR US TO KNOW.

Paul reminds us in that verse from 2 Timothy, how it is from his Gospel, that we are reminded of his Message to us.

There are several verses that we should LISTEN to in 2 Timothy. Here are just a couple of them.

2 Timothy 2:15 ‘…Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth…’ NKJV (New King James Version)

2 Timothy 3:16 ‘…All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…’ AKJV

In 2:15, there are two very important words that we should acknowledge and pay attention to.

We are too be wise in the Word of God, and we should know how and where to RIGHTLY DIVIDE the Word of Truth.

I used the NKJV version on purpose, because the AKJV version uses words, maybe unfamiliar to some people today.

Here is that verse in the AKJV.

2 Timothy 2:15 ‘…Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth…’ AKJV

There is a group of people in the United States that claim the King James Version should be the ONLY version used when studying the Bible in the English language.

And yet, when most of these people read this verse, they will say: Study to SHOW yourself approved to God.

Correct interpretation but that isn’t what is written.

These people will change the words, so it is easier for them to read the verses … that is the same thing that almost every other version of the Bible that is written in the English language does. Words are changed so it is easier to read and comprehend what has been written.

And then the verse written in 3:16, it isn’t necessarily what has been written, more than what HAS NOT been written.

The word FOLLOW is not used in that verse.

ALL Scripture has been Inspired by God, but NOT all Scripture is intended for us all, to FOLLOW.

We are to be WISE enough to know and understand what God is telling us … not what our pastor or our priest tell us … not what our Bible teacher teaches us … not what I (Leon) writes in his lessons.

We are to be WISE enough to HEAR God speak to us through His words and KNOW what we are to follow and what we are not to follow.

Finally, we are going to address what the reader can find in that verse written in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 … but first let me show another verse that was written in 1 Corinthians 15.

1 Corinthians 15:51 ‘…Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed…’ AKJV

Let me now show you that verse in 1 Thessalonians.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 ‘…For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him…’ AKJV

The apostle Paul is the one that has shown us these ‘MYSTERIES’ of God, or these ‘SECRETS.’

Here we are shown a SECRET that God has known about since the beginning of time, but He hasn’t revealed it to anyone on this earth until in these epistles, written by the apostle Paul.

Here are verses 51 and 52.

1 Corinthians 15

vs51 ‘…Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed…’

vs52 ‘…in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed…’ AKJV

We are told more about this event in 1 Thessalonians.

1 Thessalonians 4

vs13 ‘…But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope…’

vs14 ‘…For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him…’

vs15 ‘…For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep…’

vs16 ‘…For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first…’

vs17 ‘…then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so, shall we ever be with the Lord…’

vs18 ‘…Wherefore comfort one another with these words…’ AKJV

This is what many call the RAPTURE, here in the English language it is referred to as being CAUGHT UP.

In the Latin Vulgate, it is written as:

1 Thessalonians 4:17 ‘…deinde nos qui vivimus qui relinquimur simul rapiemur cum illis in nubibus obviam Domino in aera et semper cum Domino erimus…’ VUL (Latin Vulgate)

In the Greek language the word used is harpazō.

The word is defined as a Koine Greek verb (ἁρπάζω) that translates to ‘to seize, snatch away, or take by force.’

There are many that do not believe in the RAPTURE because the word itself is not found, written in the Bible.

But, neither is the word ‘TRINITY’ and we all believe in the God head, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

There is to much emphasis put on not believing instead of where the emphasis should be place …

WE ARE TO BELIEVE.

In our small, tiny, human minds it is impossible for us to know and understand everything that God knows.

It is impossible for us to imagine that everything written in the Word of God can be true.

But we’ve NEVER  been shown where we have to know and understand everything written in the Word … ALL WEW’VE BEEN TOLD IS THAT WE  ARE TO BELIEVE.

I want to openly invite you to follow me in my pursuit to follow in Jesus’ footsteps.

I love ALL of y’all.

080426 – (originally posted on 072926) – 1CORINTHIANS

This morning, we are going to go back into the writings by the apostle Paul, but before I get to far ahead of myself, I want to make a point that I have found when I study the Word of God.

I have wrote in several earlier papers that there is a group of people that claim the Bible should ONLY be read and studied, using the King James Version.

I simply disagree with that statement. It isn’t written anywhere in God’s Word that the KJV is the dominate and only correct version written in the English language.

A point I want to suggest is I began writing this lesson using the AKJV. A very difficult version written in the English language. I found myself going to different sources to find what was written until I myself switched to the GNT version and I found where I understood what was written by the apostle Paul.

Remember, God gave us His Word, written in three different languages … Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. If God didn’t see a problem using different languages, I am sure in His Omniscience, He knew everything was gonna be alright.

I am confident that God would suggest that we use a different version so we could clearly understand.

When us readers of the English language opt on reading different versions of the Bible, I think we should be careful and be sure we are reading what God actually wants us to HEAR.

Go back and forth between different versions and check and see if the writings are similar. Be wise and alert and say a little prayer and ask that God would guide you through His Word.

We are going to begin this morning, in 1 Corinthians.

Paul wrote this letter to the church in Corinth, a church that the apostle Paul knew very well.

In Acts 18, we read that Paul traveled to Corinth in his 2nd missionary journey.

Acts 18:1 ‘…After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth…’ AKJV

It was in this book of Acts, chapter 18, when we read that Paul became angry with the stubbornness of the Jews and Paul made the remark that he was going strictly to the Gentiles.

Acts 18:6 ‘…And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles…’ AKJV

The Jews were still convinced that their man-made religion, Orthodox Judaism, was the god they were going to worship.

Returning back to 1 Corinthians, Paul wanted for the church at Corinth to remain as one complete group and not divide themselves up into individual, man-made groups.

Remember this writing of Paul was back in the 1st century. Today it is the 21st century, there is a 2000 year difference. Just notice the changes that have occurred in that amount of time.

Back in the apostle Paul’s day, there was a synagogue in just about every major city, but today, go to any city in the United States and drive down Main Street and there might be 5, 6 or even 7 different man-made religions, all different denominations.

There might be a Catholic church, a Pentecostal church, a Baptist church, a Methodist church, and a church of Later Day Saints. There may even be a ‘non-denominational’ church which today has become its own denomination.

My point is, our man-made religions have all followed the church at Corinth and divided up into smaller groups.

Paul wrote the church at Corinth a letter, that addressed their difficulties.

One of the major difficulties in the church was their act of dividing themselves up into different divisions.

Paul wrote:

Acts 1

vs12 ‘…Let me put it this way: each one of you says something different. One says, I follow Paul; another, I follow Apollos; another, I follow Peter; and another, I follow Christ…’

vs13 ‘…Christ has been divided into groups! Was it Paul who died on the cross for you? Were you baptized as Paul’s disciples…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

What Paul was saying, it wasn’t Paul, Apollos, or Peter that makes any difference. Jump ahead to today, it doesn’t matter if it’s Catholic, Pentecostal, Baptist, Methodist, Later Day Saints or a non-denominational church, it was JESUS CHRIST that died on a cross to forgive us of our sins.

Paul faced the same difficulties in the 1st century just like we have today in our lives.

Here is a verse I found after I switched to the GNT version that made it so clear for me to see.

Acts 1:18 ‘…For the message about Christ’s death on the cross is nonsense to those who are being lost; but for us who are being saved it is God’s power…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

I remember one night, several years ago, I was doing a Bible study on Facebook LIVE, and I spoke against the Catholic church using the cross as an idol.

My FAITH doesn’t require me to nail a cross onto the wall so I can remember what Jesus gave up for me.

I don’t need to see a cross hanging in the front of a building, so that I can remember what Jesus did for me.

The remark I made that night had some of my Catholic relatives, very upset with me.

But the actual cross did nothing for me, it was the fact that Jesus kept Himself, up on that cross, to give up His life for me, to forgive me of all of my sins so that I could have the promise of Everlasting Life in heaven after I die and leave this world, that is what resonates in my soul.

There is POWER in that cross that Jesus died on for me. There is LIFE in that cross of Jesus.

No human being can express to me what that cross did for me, it took God speaking to me through His Word, that has me comforted every night when I close my eyes and go to sleep.

The Word of God is the POWER that each one of us has been given, ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS OPEN THE PAGES AND READ HIS WORDS.

All these different church denominations and still, there is ONLY ONE GOD … there is ONLY ONE JESUS CHRIST.

And yet, we find divisions.

Here are some wise words found in the Word.

1 Corinthians 3

vs21 ‘…Because of that, you should not be proud of any human leader. All leaders are there to serve you, as God’s people…’

vs22 ‘…Do not be proud of Paul, Apollos or Peter. We belong to you. All of this world, and life and death belong to you. The things of today and tomorrow belong to you. Everything belongs to you…’

vs23 ‘…you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God…’ EASY (Easy English Bible)

I am glad I switched versions for this lesson, unfortunately, this lesson in 1 Corinthians is probably going to take several weeks to complete.

Let’s continue.

Beginning in chapter 5, Paul speaks of the Immorality found in the church.

Acts 5

vs9 ‘…In the letter that I wrote you I told you not to associate with immoral people…’

vs10 ‘…Now I did not mean pagans who are immoral or greedy or are thieves, or who worship idols. To avoid them you would have to get out of the world completely…’

vs11 ‘…What I meant was that you should not associate with a person who calls himself a believer but is immoral or greedy or worships idols or is a slanderer or a drunkard or a thief. Don’t even sit down to eat with such a person…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

Paul writes to the BELIEVER in all thirteen of his epistles.

There were many struggles with the church in Corinth.

Divisions, sexual immorality, lawsuits against fellow Christians, questions about marriage and questions about food that was offered to idols.

Struggles that we could possibly find in our own lives today in the 21st century.

Us, as believers, we have to remember that we have God standing there in front of us.

All we have to do is pray and ask for HIS help.

Prayer doesn’t mean we have to get on our knees, or we have to stand up and take off our hats.

Prayer is communicating with the ONLY One that knows for sure, the correct answer to our problem.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 ‘…Pray without ceasing…’ AKJV

Jesus when He walked this earth, He constantly prayed to His Father in heaven.

We should copy His example.

There are a lot of times when we know the correct answer already, but we are to afraid to accept what we are thinking. I feel by praying, and I’m talking about speaking aloud to God, it is by us hearing what we are asking for that makes it easier for us to accept that answer we have already come up with.

Prayer is our stick that holds us up when we need assistance.

Prayer is that affirmation that God gives us to let us know we are going to be alright.

God, in His Inspired Word, He is telling us to PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.

Never stop. Never give up. Strive to be your best so that others when they see you, they will be able to see God in everything that you do.

Next week, we will pick up in chapter 15, the Gospel, our Promise for LIFE, the chapter of resurrection.

I want to invite you to follow me in my pursuit to follow in Jesus’ footsteps.

At the end of this lesson, I am attaching the reading plan I came up with that in 12 days, you can read the writings that Jesus CHOSE for us to HEAR as well as see the CHANGE that God made in the book of Acts.

I love ALL of y’all.

080326 – (originally posted on 072226) – GOOD NEWS – 1COR15:1-4

So, this morning I got up, turned the coffee pot on and opened all the shades on the windows and I unsecured and opened the front door, I sat down and turned on the television and seen an advertisement of a church, advertising that they’ve been spreading the ‘Good News’ for 49 years.

Immediately my morning turned into writing this lesson.

Last week we studied in the Book of Romans, and I intended on continuing with the 13 epistles that Paul wrote for us, but I think I need to make a substitution for at least 1 week.

Do me a favor and ask yourself: what is the ‘Good News’ found in the Word of God … do you know?

What then might this ‘Good News’ be that this church was trying to sell this morning in that advertisement?

I went to google.com, and I asked the question: what exactly is the ‘Good News,’ found in the Bible?

The Good News is that God loves us so much that he sent his Son Jesus to live, die and rise for us—to save us from sin, death and the devil, and to offer us a share in his own divine life as adopted children of the Father. That’s the heart of the Gospel.

I was raised in the Catholic Church, and I don’t ever remember hearing about the Gospel written by the apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. I remember our primary focus, laid on the four synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (MMLJ).

I can’t find one verse in those gospels, where we are told about the ‘Good News.’

There is nothing about Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection, unless you count the times when Jesus told His disciples beforehand.

Ask yourself, how many times did Jesus tell His disciples of His death, burial and resurrection?

How many times was it written about in the synoptic gospels?

Jesus predicted His death, burial and resurrection: 3 different times.

It is written about in 3 different synoptic gospels, and 3 different times, in each gospel.

Matthew 16:21-23; 17:22-23; and 20:17-19.

Mark 8:31-33; 9:30-32; and 10:32-34.

Luke 9:21-22; 9:43-45; and 18:31-34.

And the writing in Luke, to me, explains what Jesus wants, for us to see.

Luke 18

vs31 ‘…Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished…’

vs32 ‘…For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on…’

vs33 ‘…and they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again…’

vs34 ‘…And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken…’ AKJV

MMLJ were NEVER meant for us Gentiles to FOLLOW, how could they be, the Gospel to SAVE us is not mentioned in any one of them+.

MMLJ told of Jesus’ earthly ministry where Jesus tried to gather up God’s Chosen people (the Jewish nation), back under His care and protection.

But the Jews found a more reliable source in their man-made religion, Orthodox Judaism.

This was, in all essence, the Jew’s god. It definitely wasn’t Jesus Christ; they had Him crucified and put to death.

Here is the Gospel that we were given by God. It can be found in 1 Corinthians 15, it was written by the apostle Paul, CHOSEN by Jesus after His crucifixion, burial, resurrection and ascension.

This Gospel by the apostle Paul is what can SAVE us Gentiles from Eternal damnation, all you have to do is believe the Word of God.

Throughout my years of teaching, I MUST admit in my early years, I too was teaching the wrong message that God intended for us to HEAR.

It took a young man preaching one morning that ‘Jesus’ is not even mentioned in the Bible, for me to find the Message that I was supposed to teach.

This young man read from the 1611, King James Version of the Bible, and the font that was used for a ‘J,’ at that time in English, looked like a small ‘l.’

So, in a way, Jesus was written as lesus, and this young man found his crutch that would allow him to spread a lie to whoever heard him speak.

I on the other hand, I was intrigued with this early English writing, and God opened my eyes to see a Message that has been missed for nearly 2000 years now.

God is a Sovereign God. He is able to tell His people that He kept secrets from us.

Deuteronomy 29:29 ‘…The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law…’ AKJV

God is Sovereign and He can tell us what ‘He’ wants for us to know as well as ‘He’ can keep certain things, secret.

Luke 4

vs16 ‘…And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read…’

vs17 ‘…And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written…’

vs18 ‘…The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised…’

vs19 ‘…to preach the acceptable year of the Lord…’

vs20 ‘…And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him…’

vs21 ‘…And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears…’ AKJV

In God’s Sovereignty, He intentionally didn’t finish reading all of the verse that was written by the prophet, Isaiah

Isaiah 61

vs1 ‘…The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me;
because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to them that are bound…’

vs2 ‘…to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all that mourn;…’ AKJV

Jesus knew that the ‘Vengeance of our God’ would not happen until the start of the Tribulation. Those in that synagogue, they didn’t have a clue.

To me, one of the stronger books that show us how Sovereign God is, is the book of Acts.

God portrays a CHANGE that He didn’t have to.

With that being said, 90 to 95 percent of the population on this earth, since the 1st century, have missed the importance in this one book.

After Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected, He came back to this earth to live with the Jews living in Jerusalem and with His remaining disciples.

Acts 1:3 ‘…to whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God…’ AKJV

Jesus kept moving forward when God resurrected Him from His grave.

Christendom keeps returning back to Jesus’ earthly ministry every Easter Sunday morning.

This is nowhere written in the Word of God that we should partake in this practice of returning back to when Jesus was alive.

Just a few verses further in Acts 1, where we are told of Jesus returning to this earth, we can read of Jesus ascending up into heaven.

Acts 1:9 ‘…And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight…’ AKJV

Even after the ascension, Jesus kept moving forward.

In Acts 9:3, Jesus confronts Saul of Tarsus on his way to Damascus.

Acts 9:3 ‘…And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven…’ AKJV

There a 2 key words: he and light, ‘he’ is speaking of Saul of Tarsus and ‘light’ is speaking of Jesus Christ.

Acts 9:10 ‘…And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord…’ AKJV

The crucified, resurrected and ascended Jesus Christ confronts Ananias (a believing Jew, and a member of the Christian group, the Way), IN A VISION.

And to me, the strongest, most pivotable verse found in our entire Bible, that has been missed by millions.

Acts 9:15

‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

‘…The Lord said to Ananias, Go! I have chosen him to tell foreigners, kings, and the people of Israel about me…’ CEV (Contemporary English Version)

‘…But the Lord said to him, Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel…’ ESV (English Standard Version)

‘…The Lord said to him, Go, because I have chosen him to serve me, to make my name known to Gentiles and kings and to the people of Israel…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

‘…But the Lord said to Ananias, Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel…’ NIV ( New International Version)

‘…But the Lord said, Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel…’ NLT (New Living Translation)

Jesus CHOSE Saul of Tarsus to be the world’s teacher, and millions have missed it.

I want to invite you to follow me in my pursuit to follow in Jesus’ footsteps.

We are ONLY ever going to know what God wants from us if we LISTEN to His Word and stop hearing what this world and Satan want for us to hear.

Join me and together we will FOLLOW Him.

I love ALL of y’all.

080226 – (originally posted on 071526) – ROMANS

I have in no way done justice to Paul and the book of Romans.

There are sixteen (16) chapters in the book of Romans, and I have quoted four (4) verses.

Romans is the longest book that the apostle Paul wrote, that is why it is first (1st) book in the Bible … that is how his writings are arranged … not chronologically but instead by length.

Take the time and READ the entire book for yourself, it is more than worth it.

Jesus CHOSE the apostle Paul to teach this entire world. So, we are going to begin this weeks lesson in Romans 1.

We are told in Acts 9:15 that Jesus CHOSE Saul of Tarsus to teach us what He wants for us to know.

I can find no reason why this verse has been missed by millions of people that make-up the body of Christendom, except by putting the blame entirely on Satan himself, he doesn’t want this world to see the truth.

God gave us all an informative message in His Word that speaks about false messages, false teachers and itching ears.

2 Timothy 4:3 ‘…For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear…’ NIV (New International Version)

For just a moment, just look at all of the man-made religions around where you live.

The majority of the religions today don’t even open the Bible anymore during their Sunday morning services.

If the Bible is even opened, most times it is opened to the wrong message for us today in the 21st century.

God CHOSE to offer Salvation to the Gentiles in the book of Acts.

God CHOSE for a single man to teach this world what He wants for us ALL to know.

The apostle Paul wrote 13 epistles that were to teach this world.

Satan was able to get mankind to look in a different direction, instead of looking where God wanted us to look.

It is up to those of us that have found the correct Message to EDIFY this world and try to redirect those that are lost.

It is difficult.

I tell people to OPEN up their own Bibles and READ the words that God wants for us to HEAR.

And once again, it is difficult … it’s very, very hard.

Maybe one of the more powerful verses found in the Bible is in 1 Thessalonians.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 ‘…Pray without ceasing…’ AKJV

Just our communication with God can direct us to the path that He wants for us to take.

Thank God for what He has given you.

Ask Him for the strength to show others the way.

When I pray to Him, and I pray throughout every day, I ask that He’d use me where He needs me.

I ask that He’d allow me to voice what others need to HEAR.

Here is a verse I wear in my memory:

Ephesians 2:8 ‘…For by GRACE are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God…’ AKJV

I do not care if you are 1 or if you’re 101 … EVERY human being loves to get a GIFT.

Even to that person out there that does not believe that God is real … there is a GIFT there waiting for you to open.

If a person can believe that God is not real … then it is possible for that same person to believe that God IS real.

All it takes is FAITH and faith is believing.

God, in His GRACE, He has given us a GIFT and all we have to do is believe.

We have to have the FAITH to accept it.

We have got to take our eyes off what we think other people are doing and thinking and we need to keep our eyes solely on Him. We are only capable of controlling what we, ourselves do. Keep our focus on Jesus so we will be able to keep ourselves strong so others can see Him, through us.

In Romans 1, the apostle Paul begins His book almost as if He is praying to God, thanking Him for everything that he had been given. We should do the same thing.

We should thank God for our health. Someone out there may claim they are sick, they are in need, all I can tell you is today, right now at this moment, you are alive and you have been given the opportunity to take ahold of Him … GRAB ONTO JESUS.

There may be some that will claim they don’t have enough, they are going to lose everything … all I can tell you is that if you have Jesus in front of you, if you can clearly see His image, there is nothing more in this life that you really need.

Satan is trying to keep you down; he is trying to keep you without.

But always remember, GOD HAS A GIFT WAITING FOR YOU, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TAKE IT.

Romans 1:16 ‘…For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek…’ AKJV

This Gospel of Christ is not found in Matthew, Mark, Luke or John (MMLJ), Jesus is alive in 99% of those writings.

The Gospel of Christ is found in 1 Corinthians 15.

Jesus gave up His life so that we could live.

Speak up and let others know what you have heard.

Help EDIFY those around you.

Later in this book of Romans is a powerful verse.

Romans 10:9 ‘…that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…’ AKJV

Confess means to admit, to tell, or to make known.

EDIFY

Here are some other writings taken from the book of Romans.

Romans 14:19 ‘…Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another …’ AKJV

Romans 15:2 ‘…Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification…’ AKJV

TEACH others what you have learned. SHARE with others the truth that you have seen.

Next, I have found a writing, that was written on google.com, that explains to us, what is the number one focus found in the Book of Romans.

The primary point of the book of Romans is the Gospel of God – specifically. That God’s righteousness is a free gift of salvation available to everyone (both Jews and Gentiles) who trusts in Jesus. It is Paul’s systematic explanation that all humanity is hopelessly trapped by sin but can be justified solely through faith, not by human effort or the law.

Paul is trying to get this world to take their eyes off of ALL the different man-made religions found throughout this world today. These man-made religions, that for generations, has kept this world hostage and penned up in nothing but repeated lies.

Lies that allowed for their pockets to be filled but for our souls to be left empty.

God gave us His Word so we could find out the truth.

ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS OPEN THE COVERS OF HIS WORD AND READ OF THE TRUTH FOR OURSELVES.

I would like to offer you the opportunity to join me in my pursuit to FOLLOW Jesus in His FOOTSTEPS.

To walk down the trail that He has left behind for each one of us to FOLLOW.

There is no reason for us to break new trails to find Jesus, all we have to do is FOLLOW His Word and allow Him to GUIDE us in the right direction.

THE DIRECTION THAT HE WANTS US TO FOLLOW.

Allow me to invite you to join me in my pursuit to FOLLOW in Jesus’ footsteps.

I love ALL of y’all.

I am InHIM.><)))o>

Here is a reading plan I’d like to suggest for the one searching to find God in the 21st century:

Day 1              –      Galatians 1-6, 1Thessalonians 1-5

Day 2              –      2Thessalonians 1-3, 1Corinthians 1-8

Day 3              –      1Corinthians 9-16

Day 4              –      2Corinthians 1-13

Day 5              –      Romans 1-10

Day 6              –      Romans 11-16, Philippians 1-4

Day 7              –      Colossians 1-4, Ephesians 1-6

Day 8              –      Philemon 1, 1 Timothy 1-6, Titus 1-3, 2Timothy 1-4

Day 9              –      Acts 1-7

Day 10            –      Acts 8-13

Day 11            –      Acts 14-20

Day 12            –      Acts 21-28

The entire Bible, ALL SCRIPTURE has been given to us by God (2TIM3:16), but NOT ALL Scripture has been meant for us ALL to follow … we are told we MUST know how to RIGHTLY DIVIDE the truth of God (2TIM2:15).

We get that ‘know how’ by continuously reading His Word, by studying what is written in our Bibles.

080126 – (originally posted 070826)

We are going to begin this morning’s lesson in Acts 9.

This chapter is pivotable to our future.

I think this chapter is very informative of God.

Our God, our Creator, He is Sovereign.

Here is a definition given on google.com.

In the Bible, sovereign means God is the supreme, absolute ruler and ultimate authority over the entire universe. It means He reigns over all creation, has the power to do whatever He chooses, and that His purposes will always prevail.

I state that God can do whatever He wants to do. God can do whatever He wants, whenever He wants to do it. God can do whatever He wants, whenever He wants to do it, as many times as He desires to have it done.

God is Sovereign.

The Word of God was given to us because He wanted us to know. He wants us to be wise so we cannot be fooled by someone lying to us about God’s Word.

We should form our lives around what God is telling us and not just adhere specific verses into our lives.

So, when God tells us that He keeps secrets, we shouldn’t be upset and think God is not being honest with us, we should feel privileged that He is making us aware of what He really didn’t have to say a word about, He could have kept it all, a secret.

THINK ABOUT IT.

Deuteronomy 29:29 ‘…The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law…’ AKJV

And when God has determined that we needed to HEAR and know about a secret, we should intensively LISTEN.

1 Corinthians 2:7

‘…but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory…’ AKJV

Here is a different English version:

‘…The wisdom I proclaim is God’s secret wisdom, which is hidden from human beings, but which he had already chosen for our glory even before the world was made…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

Throughout the OT, we are told numerous times how God made a CHOICE and His people followed that choice. Now there are also times in the Word when God made a CHOICE and His Chosen did not follow God’s choice. ONLY to find they messed up.

There are several examples found in the Word. Here is one when the Jewish questioned God’s choice and they chose for themselves.

Here is what is written on google.com.

The Israelites missed God’s choice and chose for themselves at Kadesh Barnea when they rejected the Promised Land. After sending 12 spies to scout Canaan, the people believed the majority report of fear rather than God’s promise of victory, leading to severe consequences.

You can read more in detail of this in Numbers 13 and 14.

Well, to me, the biggest CHOICE that was made by Jesus, that an overwhelming amount of Gentiles have decided to choose their own path forward can be found in Acts 9.

We begin with Jesus, the crucified, resurrected and ascended Jesus Christ appearing to Saul of Tarsus on his way to Damascus to capture more believing Jews.

Acts 9:3 ‘…And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven…’ AKJV

That ‘he’ is Saul of Tarsus and that ‘light’ from heaven is Jesus Christ.

Next we find the same, crucified, resurrected and ascended Jesus Christ, appearing to Ananias in a vision.

Acts 9:10 ‘…And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord…’ AKJV

And then finally we find where Jesus made a CHOICE of who He wanted to teach the entire population of mankind.

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

And 95 percent of Christendom, every Easter Sunday morning, returns back to the earthly teachings of Jesus when He walked on this earth instead of following the writings that Jesus CHOSE for us to HEAR and LEARN from.

What are those people that visit a man-made religion every Sunday morning going to say when Jesus tells them that He never knew them?

What are those pastors and priests, those popes, bishops and deacons going to say when Jesus tells them to depart from His presence?

Jesus CHOSE Saul of Tarsus to teach ALL mankind found on the face of the earth what God wanted for us to know.

Here is another valuable verse found in the book of Acts.

Acts 13:9 ‘…But [a]Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit and led by Him, looked steadily at Elymas…’ AMP (Amplified Bible)

Footnotes

[a] Saul was the apostle Paul’s Jewish (Hebrew) name. As his ministry to Gentiles began he became known by his Roman (Latin) name, Paul.

I used the AMP version on purpose because of the attached Footnotes.

The apostle Paul wrote 13 epistles for this world to learn from.

What I find so amazing, there a those that will not read the writing of Paul because they are so different than the writings of Jesus.

Here is another fact: Jesus came to ONLY teach the Jews, the house of Israel. He tells us this Himself in the Word.

Matthew 15:24 ‘…But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel…’ AKJV

These people that will not read Paul’s writings, some will say the writings of Paul should be ripped from our Bibles and thrown away.

God’s Word tells us that ALL SCRIPTURE is Inspired by God.

2 Timothy 3:16 ‘…All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…’ AKJV

When the book of Acts tells us that Jesus CHOSE Saul/Paul, are these people saying the book of Acts should be torn from our Bibles also?

Since Luke wrote the book of Acts, does that mean the gospel written by Luke should be torn out of our Bibles too?

When the apostle Peter writes in His 2nd book about Paul’s writings and the wisdom that he was given to write, are these people saying we should rip this book from our Bibles too?

2 Peter 3

vs15 ‘…And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you…’

vs16 ‘…as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction…’ AKJV

Are they claiming we should rip-out Peter’s 1st book too?

My question to these people is where is this verse they are reading from, that tells them they can pick and choose which writings they want to believe in?

OPEN YOUR BIBLES AND READ THE WORD FOR YOURSELF.

LEARN WHAT GOD WANTS FOR YOU TO KNOW AND STOP RELYING ON WHAT OTHERS ARE TELLING YOU.

There is a specific denomination that make the statement that the English Bible should ONLY be read in the King James Version.

That statement is nothing but a man-made remark.

NOWHERE in the Word of God, not even in the KJV does it say anything like that.

The example I use for my statement here is 2 Timothy 2:15.

2 Timothy 2:15 ‘…Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth…’ AKJV

When this verse is read by one of these Bible police (I call them), they’ll say:

Study to show yourself approved to God.

Correct interpretation … but that isn’t what is written.

These people will change the words, so it is easier for them to read and easier for them to interpret what has been written.

That is the same thing that most of the other English translations do, they use different English words to make the verse easier to understand what has been written.

Even God used different languages when the Bible was written.

The original Bible was written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek.

If God didn’t value a difference in the language used, I don’t think mankind has the wisdom to make any judgements as to which words God desires to use.

I want to extend my offer to anyone of you that want to search through the Word and Follow in Jesus’ FOOTSTEPS.

Join me as we walk through the words that God has given us.

I love ALL of y’all.

I am InHIM.><)))o>

Here is a reading plan I’d like to suggest for the one searching to find God in the 21st century:

Day 2              –      2Thessalonians 1-3, 1Corinthians 1-8

Day 3              –      1Corinthians 9-16

073126 – I am back to EDIFY

Over the past six months, I have sat back and seen the people of this world move to attain ‘worldly goods’ that are not going to be of any use to any of us, one day.

And at the same time, our personal SPIRITUAL HEALTH has gotten farther and farther from being a topic that is personally discussed throughout our daily lives.

I am unable to SAVE any human being …  and you are unable to SAVE any human being … but the Holy Spirit can grab ahold of an individual that is voicing about needing God in their lives and they’re SAVED.

God has given us His Word to help each one of us to make it through this life that we are currently living in here on this earth.

It is also through this Word, that God is allowing us to research and find how we can attain everlasting life after this world has come to completion.

To that person out there that never opens a Bible and reads of the knowledge that God has given for us to see and live by, you are ultimately closing that opportunity that God has freely given to you.

You are closing the door for the future when this world has been concluded.

There is not a human alive today, or ever for that matter, that knows or ever has known, for sure, when this world is going to end.

Jesus told us these words Himself in the Word of God.

Matthew 24:36

‘…But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

‘…No one knows when that day or time will be. The Son and the angels in heaven don’t know when it will be. Only the Father knows…’ ERV (Easy-to-Read Version)

Mark 13:32

‘…But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father…’ AKJV

‘…No one knows when that day or time will be. The Son and the angels in heaven don’t know when that day or time will be. Only the Father knows…’ ERV

We are told in the Word TO BE READY. We are taught to be prepared.

But to that person out there that NEVER opens the Word for themselves, they would not know that.

When the end is upon them, that individual that NEVER opens the Word to learn what God wants for us ALL to know, that individual will have no leg to stand on, he will have NO SUPPORT from anyone, especially God.

To return back to the subject of SPIRITUAL HEALTH, we are only able to strengthen our spiritual health through the Word of God.

A pastor or a priest, a man-made religion or a simple teacher of the Bible cannot increase your own personal spiritual health, ONLY YOU CAN DO THAT WITH THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

OPEN YOUR BIBLE AND READ THE WORDS THAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU.

No matter what you hear in a man-made religions’ Sunday morning sermon; GOD IS THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN SAVE ANY ONE OF US.

NOT A PRIEST.

NOT A PASTOR.

NOT A MAN-MADE RELIGION.

THERE IS NOT A DENOMINATION KNOWN TO MANKIND THROUGHOUT THIS WORLD THAT CAN SAVE ANYONE.

ONLY GOD CAN SAVE US FROM ETERNAL DEATH.

Here are some verses found in the Word of God.

Isaiah 43:11

‘…I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour…’ AKJV

‘…I myself am the Lord, and there is no other Savior…’ ERV

Acts 4:12

‘…Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved…’ AKJV

‘…Jesus is the only one who can save people. His name is the only power in the world that has been given to save anyone. We must be saved through him…’ ERV

Ephesians 2:8

‘…For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God…’ AKJV

‘…I mean that you have been saved by grace because you believed. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God…’ ERV

ONLY Jesus Christ can SAVE US, there is no one else.

God has given us His Word to help us find what He wants from and for us.

Going to a man-made building on Sunday morning, going back on Sunday night, going again on Wednesday evening and attending every man-made religious event throughout your week is NEVER going to get you into heaven or give you the promise of everlasting life, IT IS ONLY THROUGH YOUR BELIEF IN WHAT WE ARE TOLD THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD.

We have been given this verse in the book of Acts.

The above verse is from the mouth of the crucified, buried, resurrected and ascended Jesus Christ.

If I could only find a way for this verse to be shown throughout the world, to everyone.

Jesus CHOSE a man to be our teacher.

Today, in the 21st century, we have been born AFTER the crucifixion, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ.

We have been given the thirteen (13) books, written by the apostle Paul, Paul the teacher that was CHOSEN by Jesus Christ to teach this entire world what we need to do to attain everlasting life.

Here is another important verse from the book of Acts.

Acts 13:9 ‘…But [a]Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit and led by Him, looked steadily at Elymas…’ AMP (Amplified Bible)

FOOTNOTE

[a]Saul was the apostle Paul’s Jewish (Hebrew) name. As his ministry to Gentiles began he became known by his Roman (Latin) name, Paul.

I have chosen the Amplified Bible on purpose because of the attached FOOTNOTE.

Allow me to voice a personal opinion of mine, I do not believe there is only one (1) version of the Bible that we should read from.

There is a group in America that claim that the King James Version of the Bible should be the only version that the Bible should be studied or read from.

That statement is not written anywhere in God’s Word.

In fact, that statement isn’t even written in their own KJV of the Bible, it is nothing but a man-made rule.

Here is another reason; very often, I use the AKJV (Authorized King James Version) of the Bible when I teach … but many times I need to read another English version of the Bible so I can understand what has actually been written in the KJV.

Here is an example that I normally use for my point:

2 Timothy 2:15 ‘…Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth…’ AKJV

These people that claim the KJV should be the ONLY version studied, I call them the ‘Bible Police,’ when one of these ‘Bible Police’ read this verse aloud, most times they will say:

‘Study to show yourself approved.’

Correct interpretation, but that isn’t what has been written … these Bible cops change the writings so it can be easier to read and interpreted by others.

My point is, that is the same thing all of the different English versions have done, they are simply using different English words so the Word can be easier to interpret.

At the end of this lesson, I am going to attach a reading plan that I came up with a couple of years ago.

Throughout the reading plan, I focus primarily on the thirteen (13) books by the apostle Paul. I also show the books of Acts because I believe the Sovereign God has allowed for us to see the CHANGE that He made where All mankind has been given the directions on how to be saved.

It is at this point, where the free-will that God originally gave to ALL of his creations, have the ability to choose for themselves which way they choose to go.

They can either follow their pastor, their priest, their denomination or even their own personal desires and never look towards eternity.

Or they can FOLLOW what God wants for our future.

In my past, I was writing a lesson and posting them daily on many blog sites that I had online trying to reach out to that one person out there that was looking for the ability to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

It was very, very difficult for me to keep up with reaching out to those out there in this world that are searching for a relationship with Jesus.

Allow me to give you a little hint, Jesus is right there in front of you, RIGHT NOW, no matter what you are doing or where you are, GOD IS THERE WITH YOU RIGHT NOW.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CALL OUT HIS NAME AND START TALKING TO HIM.

Speak aloud so you can HEAR what you are asking for.

Thank Him for what He has already given you.

Thank Him for what He has promised for your future.

Tell him what you want and what you think you need.

OPEN your Bible and READ the words that He has already shown you that you have been promised.

Don’t worry about reading the parts of the Bible your pastor, your priest, your denomination or the parts of the Bible your man-made religion has told you to read.

LISTEN to God and allow Him to direct you through the Word so you can attain His promise that He has given to each one of us.

God is NEVER going to ask you for money. He is NEVER going to tell you must follow what He told an earlier generation to obey.

READ your Bible and ask Jesus to OPEN your eyes so you can HEAR Him speak to you through His Word.

Let me lastly voice another opinion of mine:

Our Bibles have been divided up into two (2) divisions, the Old Testament (OT) and the New Testament (NT) … this division was done by a man, NOT BY GOD.

So, we could easily conclude that these divisions are incorrect.

I have read the Bible, and I would have divided the Bible up into at least five (5) different divisions.

Division 1- ONE MANKIND

       Genesis 1:1 through Genesis 11:32

Division 2- OLD TESTAMENT

       Genesis 12:1 through John 21:25

Division 3- the Book of Acts (the CHANGE)

       Acts 1:1 through Acts 28:31

Division 4- NEW TESTAMENT

       Romans 1:1 through Philemon 1:25

Division 5- THE KINGDOM

       Hebrews 1:1 through Revelation 22:21

Don’t allow yourself to be fooled or lied to about what God wants for and from us, OPEN YOUR BIBLE AND READ IT FOR YOURSELF.

Jesus made a CHOICE. Jesus CHOSE Saul of Tarsus to teach ALL the people living on the earth about God.

There are so many that study the Word of God today … they study the OT, some focus on the NT … there are those that look to the book of Revelation, but all of these people seem to look past Acts 9:15.

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

This is Jesus, the Crucified, Resurrected and Ascended Jesus Christ speaking to Ananias. If you study, using a RED-LETTER Bible, Acts 9:15 is written in red ink.

Here is a description of  a RED-LETTER Bible found on google.com:

A RED-LETTER Bible is a version of the Holy Bible where the words spoken by Jesus Christ are printed in red ink, while the rest of the text remains in black, making it easy to identify His direct teachings and dialogue, a feature introduced by Louis Klopsch in 1899 to highlight the importance of His words for readers. This formatting helps readers focus on  Christ’s teachings and can include His words in the Gospels and sometimes even Prophetic Old Testament (OT) references or words spoken by the risen Christ. [1]

After the assassination of Charlie Kirk (10/10/25), there were hundreds of thousands of individuals buying Bibles for the very first time. These people attended church services, also for the first time, seeking to have a relationship with God.

Me, being an outsider looking in, none of these first timers were ever going to find a relationship with God by going to a man-made religion and sitting in their man-made religious building.

In all honesty, God was right there, probably in their own hands, on the pages of that newly purchased Bible that almost all of these people had just recently purchased.

All they really had to do was just open up their Bibles and begin reading about God for their relationship with Him  to flourish. I am including, at the end of this lesson, a Bible reading plan that I’d like to suggest to you.

Over the years, I’ve taught of words that have been specifically written for us today in the 21st century, but right now I want to focus on two (2) very important verses: 2Timothy 3:16 and 2Timothy 2:15.

2Timothy 3:16’…All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…’ AKJV

Notice the verse begins with the words: ALL SCRIPTURE … everything that is found inside the Word, from cover-to-cover, has been given to us for our knowledge, for us to learn from. But NOTICE, the word ‘FOLLOW’ is not used in that verse. There is nothing that is even similar to the meaning of the word ‘FOLLOW’ used either.

And then there is the second verse:

2Timothy 2:15 ‘…Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth…’ AKJV

There are two (2), very important words used in this verse: RIGHTLY DIVIDING.

Through our study of His Word, we are to learn what has been meant for us and what has been meant for earlier generations.

We gain that knowledge through our study of His Word.

I didn’t stutter, we are not told we learn from our knowledge from our interpretations of His Word, but instead we are to be knowledgeable enough to know how to RIGHTLY DIVIDE HIS WORD OF TRUTH.

Millions have drifted away from the teachings that are found in God’s Word.

People are obeying commandments that have NEVER been meant for us, there are those that re-live Jesus’ earthly ministry when He walked this earth, but we are NEVER shown that we are to follow earlier generations, either.

There are man-made religions that year after year, they worship from the birth of Jesus in the stable, up through His resurrection, only to return right back to the stable to start all over again, year after year after year.

That is not RIGHTLY DIVIDING His Word … that is settling for what they want to believe in as being important.

From the Bible, that is the equivalence of the Tower at Babel, people wanting to do what they could so they could show God how much they love and want Him.

FOLLOW HIS WORD AND STAY IN STEP WITH WHAT HE WANTS US TO KNOW.

There are religions today that will not open and read the books written by Paul because his words are so much different than Jesus’ teachings while He walked this earth. When Jesus walked this earth He was here for ONLY the Jewish individual … don’t believe me?

Matthew 15:24 ‘…But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel…’ AKJV

Jesus instructed His disciples not to go into the Gentiles or the Samaritans but ONLY go to the Jews … don’t believe me?

Matthew 10

vs5 ‘…These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not…’

vs6 ‘…but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel…’ AKJV

This ‘house of Israel’ is the Jewish nation.

Man-made religions today, only follow the words they want to follow, they’re not interested in the words that came from Jesus’ mouth or the words found in the Word of God.

There is also a denomination, that puts their future in the hands of a man titled the pope. Nothing is found in  the Word to verify such an act … once again ‘mankind’ is trying to reach out for God instead of accepting God and accepting Him as He is reaching out for us.

We should, every one of us, want to FOLLOW in Jesus footsteps. When Jesus CHOSE His disciples and He asked each one of them to FOLLOW ME, each and every one of us should desire to do the same so we could find and keep up with Him.

There is another lesson for us in 2Timothy that tells us how mankind is going to move away from the Scripture that God has given us.

I refer many times to it as ‘tickling of the ears.’

2Timothy 4

vs3 ‘…For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears…’

vs4 ‘…and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables…’ AKJV

The Word of God has been given to us to help us make it through this life we are living in here on this earth in the 21st century … all we have to do is open its pages and read His Word for ourselves.

I am going to change the way I have been trying to spread the Good News that God has given to us.

I am going to move away from posting on fb and all of the blogs I have set up online.

I have, over the years, had several occasions when my lessons have been confronted by individuals that don’t have any concern with building up a relationship with Jesus Christ.

And in all honesty, that is their right.

But it is also in my right to spread the words that God has given me to spread throughout this world for those that desire to find that relationship that God so desires from each one of us.

So, I am going to be still posting my lessons online, but on a much smaller scale. At the end of this lesson, I am including the sites that my future lessons can be found.

God is looking for a relationship with you alone … God wants YOU.

By us searching for Him, in any other place other than what He has given to us, essentially would be futile.

You are more than welcome to join with me in my pursuit to find and FOLLOW in His footsteps.

I love ALL of y’all, follow along with me as we keep our eyes on Him.

I am InHIM.><)))o>

Here is a reading plan I’d like to suggest for the one searching to find God in the 21st century:

Day 1               –           Galatians 1-6, 1Thessalonians 1-5

Day 2               –           2Thessalonians 1-3, 1Corinthians 1-8

Day 3               –           1Corinthians 9-16

Day 4               –           2Corinthians 1-13

Day 5               –           Romans 1-10

Day 6               –           Romans 11-16, Philippians 1-4

Day 7               –           Colossians 1-4, Ephesians 1-6

Day 8               –           Philemon 1, 1 Timothy 1-6, Titus 1-3, 2Timothy 1-4

Day 9               –           Acts 1-7

Day 10              –           Acts 8-13

Day 11              –           Acts 14-20

Day 12              –           Acts 21-28

The entire Bible, ALL SCRIPTURE has been given to us by God (2TIM3:16), but NOT ALL Scripture has been meant for us ALL to follow … we are told we MUST know how to RIGHTLY DIVIDE the truth of God (2TIM2:15).

Beginning in ’26, my lessons are going to be posted on:

122425 – Merry Christmas (a child is born)

Acts 1

vs7 ‘…Jesus replied, My Father decides when things will happen in the world. You do not need to know the day or the time when this will happen…’ EASY

This one verse alone, says so much for us … if we will let it speak to us.

Jesus is telling us that His Father in heaven is the One that decides when things will happen … not us, not the pope, not a priest or a pastor, not the president or the congress, but rather, Jesus’ Father.

Listen to the words found in the Word of God, speak to you: ‘…you do not need to know…’

We are told we are to study the Word and know how to ‘rightly divide’ the Word of God (2TIM2:15).

We are told how much God loves us (ROM5:8).

But God never tells us to think for ourselves, instead we are told to FOLLOW (ROM12:3).

Too often today, our human pride steps in and desires to take over and show us all the way.

When instead, we should step back and let Him show us the way.

Acts 1

vs8 ‘…But the Holy Spirit will come to you, and he will give you power. The Holy Spirit will make your spirit strong. Then you will tell other people everywhere in the world about me. You will do that in Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria and in places far away…’ EASY

Jesus is voicing this, just moments before He is taken away from this world.

Many thought Jesus would be gone for a short time, but these people didn’t know all of God’s plans. They didn’t know of the secret that God had where ALL mankind would be saved. They didn’t know of God’s plan for a single teacher to teach this entire world, what He wants us ALL to know. They didn’t know that God was going to send Jesus back to this earth in a revelation, to change the way things were to be.

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

After Jesus was crucified in the 1st century, most of mankind thought the end was very near.

Today we are living in the 21st century … God never told us about the 20 centuries amounting to nearly, 2000 years.

The end is coming, one day, but we are to be ready, we don’t need to know everything for this world to keep spinning around and around … God has that under control.

Now to be honest, there is nothing said about any other mysteries in the future either, that we don’t know about. We MUST keep our faith and trust in God and let Him take care of us, we should FOLLOW His footsteps and let Him lead us.

Acts 1

vs9 ‘…When Jesus had finished speaking to his apostles, God took him up to heaven. The apostles watched Jesus while he went up. Then a cloud hid him, and they could not see him any more…’ EASY

The above verse, when it finishes, where his disciples no longer see Him, FAITH is what was supposed to take over.

Unfortunately for the Jewish individual, living in the 1st century, Faith was not their strong point. Just look at this world today, we could all use a little Faith to come back into our lives.

From that day when Jesus ascended up into heaven, His disciples were like a puppy that had just lost its owner, its master, its leader.

Instead of the original remaining disciples leading the way for other believers, they hid out in Jerusalem and remained waiting for Jesus to return.

READ the book of Acts to find out for yourself. While Jesus was still with them He told His disciples to wait for the Helper that God was going to send and then they should go out into the entire world and spread His Message onto the entire world … but we read in Acts 8:1 that the disciples never left Jerusalem.

Acts 8:1 ‘…And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judæa and Samaria, except the apostles…’ AKJV

The apostles never left Jerusalem … they were without their leader … they were lost and defeated.

This verse, vs1 in chapter 8, allows us to see the next leader that is going to be CHOSEN by God, Saul of Tarsus.

Acts 9:3 ‘…And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven…’ AKJV

The ‘he’ that was journeying, was Saul and that ‘light from heaven,’ that was Jesus Christ.

Jesus confronted Saul on His way to Damascus.

READ the words that God has given us.

The book of Acts was not given to us to show us how we are to live our lives, but instead, the book of Acts has been given to us to show us the CHANGE that God decided to make, and we MUST be alert enough to FOLLOW His change.

There are two (2) verses we should focus on in the book of Acts … one I’ve already written about in this lesson that I’ll list again, I think it is that important for us to see.

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

This verse tells us that Jesus has CHOSEN Saul to bear His name to this entire world, to teach every individual walking this earth.

And a second verse in Acts is:

Acts 13:9 ‘…But [a] Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit and led by Him, looked steadily at Elymas…’ AMP (Amplified Bible)

FOOTNOTES

[a] Saul was the apostle Paul’s Jewish (Hebrew) name. As his ministry to Gentiles began he became known by his Roman (Latin) name, Paul.

I purposely use the Amplified Bible for this verse because of the FOOTNOTES provided.

The apostle Paul, CHOSEN by the crucified, resurrected and ascended Jesus Christ, wrote thirteen (13) epistles for us to live our lives by so we could find Jesus.

From Romans through Philemon, Paul wrote the words that were given to him for us, you and me.

It’s up to us if we are going to follow those words or instead, listen to a priest or a pastor on Sunday morning and hear how good we are and how we are better than other folks and oh yeah, there is an offering basket at every door when you leave the building.

You need to WAKE UP and LISTEN to the words that God has given us in His Word.

Simply READ your Bible.

2Timothy 2:15 ‘…Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth…’ AKJV

The more we read and study the Word of God, we will HEAR what Message God has given for us to FOLLOW.

As I’ve said over the years, many times, if you are visiting a man-made religion and the Bible is not opened, if the Word of God is not discussed, why would you ever go back. They’re preaching their own religion. They’re talking about their own god. All they want is your money to keep them in business until next week when you can give more.

Stay home the next week and sit down and open your Bible and read it for yourself. LISTEN to the words that God desires for you to HEAR.

Back in the later part of September of this year, I posted a Bible reading plan that I was suggesting to all of the new followers, seeking to find Jesus.

Many of these people were visiting man-made churches for the first time, desiring to find God.

I really want people to know; that God is not found inside these man-made religions … not the God you’re looking for anyway.

The God you say you’re looking for is inside that Bible you just purchased.

Here is the reading plan I suggested:

Day 1    –     Galatians 1-6, 1Thessalonians 1-5

Day 2    –     2Thessalonians 1-3, 1Corinthians 1-8

Day 3    –     1Corinthians 9-16

Day 4    –     2Corinthians 1-13

Day 5    –     Romans 1-10

Day 6    –     Romans 11-16, Philippians 1-4

Day 7    –     Colossians 1-4, Ephesians 1-6

Day 8    –     Philemon 1, 1 Timothy 1-6, Titus 1-3, 2Timothy 1-4

Day 9    –     Acts 1-7

Day 10  –     Acts 8-13

Day 11  –     Acts 14-20

Day 12  –     Acts 21-28

The entire Bible, ALL SCRIPTURE has been given to us by God, but NOT ALL Scripture has been meant for us to follow … this all comes from RIGHTLY DIVIDING the truth (2TIM2:15).

I am (I think), going to end my weekly lesson’s that I’ve been posting for several years now.

An advantage of posting a lesson online, the message is always there, waiting for that day when someone might open it sometime in the future.

We have a new year about to come in and with that there are new opportunities that might be coming our way.

Don’t focus on me ending my lesson’s, but rather, keep your focus on His Word and continue studying the writings that He desires for us to know.

NEVER take your eyes off Jesus … keep Him in front of you at all times.

I love every one of y’all.

121925

We are very close to celebrating, that one day, where just about everyone in this entire world, recognizes the birth of Jesus Christ.

We find ourselves here in America, confronted by evil spirits and demons desiring to destroy what this country was founded on.

We should ALL be able to realize that everything found in this entire world is ALL because of God.

None of us, no one man created anything that wasn’t already on this planet before he was born.

It was through the blessings that God desired for us (mankind) to have, as being the reason, we have what we do.

With that being said, God gave every man, woman and child the same opportunity as the person right next to them.

Country ‘A’ has been given the same opportunity as country ‘B.’ What each country does with what they have been given, is up to them … remember the parable of the talents found in the Word of God (MAT25:14-30) …

‘…well done you good and faithful servant…’

God never told us that the first servant did for the second servant, or the second servant did for the third servant, the parable reads that each one of the servants were given an amount and rewarded by what they did with what they were given.

Why is it that there are those in this country that feel we should just give away what we have acquired?

Do these people not see the value in what our previous generations have done for us, and what these other countries, their previous generations haven’t done for them?

Well, ask yourself then, what are you going to leave for the generations that are going to follow you?

ALL mankind was given the same opportunity, but God found favor in Abram.

Genesis 12:1 ‘…Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee…’ AKJV

God CHOSE Abram … Abram at first didn’t choose God; Abram didn’t even know God at first. Back in the days of Abram, the entire land was steeped in idolatry, they worshipped and served other gods.

Joshua 24:2 ‘…And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods…’ AKJV

Mankind didn’t choose, but instead, it was God that CHOSE mankind.

God CHOSE a particular people, in favor over all other people that walked the earth.

Deuteronomy 7:6 ‘…For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth…’ AKJV

Once again, mankind didn’t choose God, but instead God CHOSE.

As we read our Bibles, we are shown the same story throughout, God CHOSE what He wanted for this world, for mankind, for His Creations.

But today in the 21st century, in America anyways, there are those that want to give everything away.

The common theme is: everyone deserves what we have been given, they say.

All of these other countries have all had the same opportunity as us, previous generations, but they chose to go in a different path than we did here in America.

Is that their fault … maybe not, but it’s not ours either.

Our forefathers worked from sun-up to sun-down, to make life easier for the generations that would follow them.

So then ask yourself, this is the second time I’ve asked this, what are you leaving for the next generation?

What are you passing on to them?

There are so many people trying to give away our country, I guess maybe they don’t want their children, or their children’s children to have what we had growing up.

Apparently they don’t need for future generations to be safe in the land that has been passed on to them.

I am all for legal immigration. Every one of us living in America we were or our linage was, at one time, an immigrant. But our forefathers came to this country and assimilated with their surroundings so we could all be ONE.

But today, immigrants come into this country to live the way they used to live in their original country. Obviously, the way they were living was the wrong way because they never achieved anything. They desire to live the way they used to … that’s fine, but why don’t they stay where they were?

Why come to my country to live the way you used to live?

The way you used to live, apparently didn’t work in your own country that you came from, so stay where you are if you’re not going to change to our ways.

God CHOSE a people, but God wanted those people to FOLLOW His rules that He set for them.

Now the story according to our Bibles, the Word of God, the Jewish nation never did accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God. The Jews had Jesus killed so that His constant stories that downgraded their religion would end.

After the stoning death of Stephen (Acts 7), God made a change. God CHOSE to save ALL mankind.

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV

Now, many of the man-made religions found in the 21st century, they don’t recognize this change made by God.

There are some of the man-made religions that teach their congregations that we are supposed to replace the Jews, follow their laws, celebrate their holidays but not recognize their religion … but ask yourself, ask your pastor or your priest: where is that written in the Word of God?

It’s not … they are lying to you. They are preaching false beliefs, man-made rules, ‘but the offering basket is at the back of the room.’

This country, the United States of America, has been started by our God fearing forefathers.

They formed this government for us, the people … that’s why our constitution begins:

WE THE PEOPLE.

Our forefathers didn’t write our constitution, for those in other countries when you decide to come here, we will pay your way, we will feed your mouths, we will educate your children.

Once our country is gone, it will be finished. There will never be another Red, White and Blue.

We should help other countries. We should allow others to see what they are capable if they change their ways … but we shouldn’t open up our borders and say come on in and live the way you want to live.

If there way was successful, it would have been successful back where they came from.

Just think for yourselves for a moment … how can it not be clear to you. Stop allowing Satan to guide you in his evil ways, grab onto Jesus and FOLLOW Him.

I am looking to the future, in the words that God has given us in His Word. I am looking forward to that day when Jesus calls us up into heaven to live in His presence forever.

1 Thessalonians 4

vs13 ‘…But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope…’

vs14 ‘…For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him…’

vs15 ‘…For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep…’

vs16 ‘…For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first…’

vs17 ‘…then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so, shall we ever be with the Lord…’

bs18 ‘…Wherefore comfort one another with these words…’ AKJV

This is the comfort that I BELIEVE in. This, found in God’s Word, is telling us of the Rapture of Jesus’ CHURCH (the Body of Christ).

In the Greek the word is ‘Harpazo,’ from the Latin Vulgate the word is ‘Rapiemur’ and in the English versions, the words used are ‘caught up.’

They ALL mean the same thing … found in the Strong’s Concordance: to snatch up, to take away, to carry off.

This is the future that I look to.

So, today is Friday and I know there are going to be those individuals that are going to go to a man-made religion this Sunday morning, once again, use your common sense, if what you are being taught is not from the words that God has intended for our ears, stop listening to what is being spoken to you.

GET OUT and GO HOME.

Open your Bible and read the words that God has CHOSEN for us to HEAR.

Your man-made church is never going to be able to save you … ONLY God can do that.

LISTEN to His words and ONLY His words.

God allowed us to have what we see all around us in this country … don’t give it away because you think you’re doing the right thing.

Think of your future. Think of those that are going to come after you … leave what is the best for them.

As we end today, allow me to leave you with these other verses found in the Word:

Romans 8

vs38 ‘…For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come…’

vs39 ‘…nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord…’ AKJV

Keep your focus on Jesus and LIVE in His strength.

Ephesians 2:8 ‘…For by GRACE are ye SAVED through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God…’ AKJV

I love ALL of y’all.
