Ephesians 2:8 ‘…For by GRACE you have been SAVED through FAITH; and this is not of yourselves, it is a GIFT of God…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Let’s together, open the Word of God this morning, and study what we have been given. Allow me to help you in your study and search the Bible what God has intended for us to hear.

The verses we are going to study tonight:

Acts 9:15, 13:9; Galatians 1:12, 18; 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4; Luke 18:34; John 12:16.

Jesus told Annias in this verse, that He (Jesus) chose Saul (Paul) to be His ‘Chosen Vessel’ to teach the ‘Gentiles, kings and the children of Israel.’

It was after I read this verse that I began to focus only on Paul’s thirteen epistles. Paul was chosen by Jesus to teach this entire world.

Acts 9:15

‘…But the Lord said unto him, go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

‘…But the Lord said to him, go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

‘…The Lord said to him, go, because I have chosen him to serve me, to make my name known to Gentiles and kings and to the people of Israel…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

‘…But the Lord said to Ananias, go now to Saul! I have chosen him to work for me. He will go to those who are not Jews and to their rulers. He will tell them about me. He will also tell the people of Israel about me…’ EASY (Easy English Bible)

In all four versions: AKJV chosen vessel; NASB – chosen instrument; GNT – chosen; and EASY – chosen.

In all four versions: AKJV – Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel; NASB – Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; GNT – Gentiles and kings and to the people of Israel; and EASY – He will go to those who are not Jews and to their rulers. He will tell them about me. He will also tell the people of Israel about me.

How could any BELIEVER take these verses any other way than how they’re written in the Word.

If Jesus chose Saul, how can I rightly look at what someone else writes about my future with Jesus?

Here is the next Scripture that identifies Saul as Paul.

Acts 13:9

‘…Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

‘…But Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, stared at him…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

‘…Then Saul—also known as Paul—was filled with the Holy Spirit; he looked straight at the magician…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

‘…Then God filled Saul with the power of his Holy Spirit. (Saul was also now called Paul.) Paul looked straight at Elymas, and he said…’ EASY (Easy English Bible)

There are many in this world that have chosen NOT to believe in the writings written by the apostle Paul.

I have not the words on my tongue today that could change their minds and let me also comment that I question their UNBELIEF. Let me just say, Galatians 1 tells of the Gospel that Paul preached.

Paul writes how the Gospel was given to him by the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 1:12

‘…For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

‘…For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

‘…I did not receive it from any human being, nor did anyone teach it to me. It was Jesus Christ himself who revealed it to me…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

‘…Nobody on earth gave it to me. Nobody taught it to me. No, it was Jesus Christ himself who showed it to me clearly…’ EASY (Easy English Bible)

So, maybe we should throw out our anchors and stay here for just a little while. In the previous Scripture, Paul writes: AKJV – but by the revelation of Jesus Christ; NASB – but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ; GNT – It was Jesus Christ himself who revealed it to me; and EASY – it was Jesus Christ himself who showed it to me clearly.

In this verse we are told Paul was taught the message by Jesus, how can it be seen any other way?

The original twelve apostles lived with Jesus for three (3) years, learning what Jesus had to teach them, but we are also showed in Galatians 1 that Paul was gone for three (3) years before he returned to see Peter (Cephas). Paul left the life he knew behind for three (3) years. Is this just a coincidence?

Galatians 1:18

‘…Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

‘…Then three years later I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Cephas, and stayed with him for fifteen days…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

‘…It was three years later that I went to Jerusalem to obtain information from Peter, and I stayed with him for two weeks…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

‘…Then, three years later, I did go to Jerusalem. I stayed there with Christ’s apostle Peter for 15 days, so that he could teach me…’ EASY (Easy English Bible)

I am unsure if I’ve proven my point that I’m trying to make … I’ve read over the paper so far, several times just to make certain I am laying down a positive layer before moving onward. I hope I have been successful so far.

So, let me display the Gospel that Paul preached:

1 Corinthians

vs3b ‘…how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures…’

vs4 ‘…and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures …’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

vs3b ‘…that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures…’

vs4 ‘…and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures …’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

vs3b ‘…that Christ died for our sins, as written in the Scriptures…’

vs4 ‘…that he was buried and that he was raised to life three days later, as written in the Scriptures …’ GNT (Good News Translation)

vs3b ‘…Christ died as a sacrifice for our sins. The Bible already said how that would happen…’

vs4 ‘…People buried his dead body. On the third day after that God raised him up to live again. The Bible already spoke about that too …’ EASY (Easy English Bible)

This is the Gospel that the apostle Paul taught us: that Jesus Christ Died, He was Buried, and He Rose again three days later.

This Gospel that Paul taught us was never preached by Jesus. Jesus tried telling His disciples on three (3) different occasions but each time we are told in the Word that the disciples didn’t understand.

Luke 18:34

‘…And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

‘…The disciples understood none of these things, and the meaning of this statement was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend the things that were said…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

‘…But the disciples did not understand any of these things; the meaning of the words was hidden from them, and they did not know what Jesus was talking about…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

‘…The 12 disciples did not understand any of these things. What Jesus said did not mean anything to them. So, they did not know what Jesus was talking about…’ EASY (Easy English Bible)

We’ve been told again in another Scripture how the disciples didn’t understand:

John 12:16

‘…These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

‘…These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things for Him…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

‘…His disciples did not understand this at the time; but when Jesus had been raised to glory, they remembered that the scripture said this about him and that they had done this for him…’ GNT (Good News Translation)

‘…Jesus’ disciples did not understand all this at that time. They understood only after Jesus had returned to God in heaven. Then they remembered that someone had written these things about him in the Bible. And they remembered that these things had now really happened to him…’ EASY (Easy English Bible)

I am writing this paper in an attempt to get those around me to open up the Scripture and see for themselves what has been written.

Don’t worry about what your church has been telling you. In fact, don’t worry about what I’ve been saying.

OPEN UP YOUR OWN BIBLE AND LOOK FOR YOUSELF WHAT HAS BEEN WRITTEN.

I’ve tried exposing different versions for you so you can see the difference found in different versions.

The most important thing is you MUST open your Bibles and look at the Word yourself.

I don’t want one (1) person to miss out on the opportunity to gain so much.

I love every one of y’all. Do yourself a big favor and open His Word and look for yourself at what has been written.

Jesus, I pray that those ears and eyes, either listening or seeing this message today would be opened to the very fullest and allow Your love to come inside their lives and comfort them. Teach us Jesus. Protect us. We love You. Amen InHIM. ><)))o>
