EASTER Sunday, 2025

Sunday 042025

Acts 9:15 ‘…But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

Romans 10:9 ‘…that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Ephesians 2:8 ‘…For by GRACE you have been SAVED through FAITH; and this is not of yourselves, it is a GIFT of God…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

1 Timothy 3:16 ‘…Beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, was vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

There are verses in our Bibles, that are not meant for ALL of us to FOLLOW. These verses are in our Bibles because we are supposed to be wise enough to know we shouldn’t FOLLOW down that same path as earlier generations did.

We learn this when we read the Word of God, if we would continue reading the Word past Jesus’ crucifixion.

The Word of God tells us people today in the 21st century, what verses found in our Bibles have been meant for us to see and what we are to FOLLOW.

I pray that God would give you the wisdom today to find the path that He wants for you to walk down so that one day, you will be able to be in His presence.

Today, EASTER Sunday, grab ahold of the death of Jesus as our GIFT of Salvation t hat God gave to us.

Now accept Jesus’ death and move forward. Don’t get caught up in the trap that wants to corral you back into the life of Jesus. His life meant nothing for a Gentile.

Move forward and HEAR the beautiful morning He has promised us for the morning after today.

The verses we are going to study tonight:

1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Isaiah 7:14, Jeremiah 23:5; Matthew 15:24, 16:21; Mark 8:31; Luke 9:22; Matthew 17:22-23; Mark 9:31; Luke 9:44; Matthew 20:18-19; Mark 10:33-34; Luke 18:32-33; Mark 9:32; Luke 9:45, 18:34; Matthew 28:7; Mark 16:7; Luke 24:9; Acts 9:15.

Easter is the celebration of Jesus’ Resurrection.

1 Corinthians 15

vs1 ‘…My Christian friends, I want you to remember the good news that I taught to you. You received it from me, and you continue to believe it as a true message…’

vs2 ‘…Because of the message that I spoke to you, God will save you. He will save you if you continue to trust that same good news. If you do not, you have believed it for nothing…’

vs3 ‘…I received the good news from Christ, and I told that message to you. I told you the most important things: Christ died as a sacrifice for our sins. The Bible already said how that would happen…’

vs4 ‘…People buried his dead body. On the third day after that God raised him up to live again. The Bible already spoke about that too…’ EASY (Easy English Bible)

God made promises to the Jewish forefathers:

Isaiah 7:14 ‘…Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will name Him Immanuel…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Jerimiah 23:5 ‘…Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

And that is why Jesus came to this earth. (this is Jesus talking):

Matthew 15:24 ‘…But He answered and said, I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Jesus didn’t come to save a Gentile, he came for the Jew, only.

In Jesus’ ministry days, the Jews only had to believe that Jesus was that fulfillment that was promised to the forefathers by God.

The first time in the Bible we even hear about the crucifixion is in Matthew 16.

Matthew 16:21 ‘…From that time Jesus began to point out to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go to Jerusalem and to suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised up on the third day…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Three (3) different times Jesus told the original apostles, and it is recorded in three (3) different gospels all three (3) times.

1st time

Matthew 16:21 ‘…From that time Jesus began to point out to His disciples that it was necessary for Him to go to Jerusalem and to suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised up on the third day…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Mark 8:31 ‘… And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise from the dead…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Luke 9:22 ‘…saying, the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised on the third day…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

2nd time

Matthew 17

vs22 ‘…And while they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, the Son of Man is going to be handed over to men…’

vs23 ‘…and they will kill Him, and He will be raised on the third day. And they were deeply grieved…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Mark 9:31 ‘…For He was teaching His disciples and telling them, the Son of Man is to be handed over to men, and they will kill Him; and when He has been killed, He will rise three days later…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Luke 9:44 ‘…As for you, let these words sink into your ears: for the Son of Man is going to be handed over to men.”  …’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

3rd time

Matthew 20

vs18 ‘…Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death…’

vs19 ‘…and they will hand Him over to the Gentiles to mock and flog and crucify, and on the third day He will be raised up…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Mark 10

vs33 ‘…saying, behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and will hand Him over to the Gentiles…’

vs34 ‘…And they will mock Him and spit on Him, and flog Him and kill Him; and three days later He will rise from the dead…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Luke 18

vs32 ‘…For He will be handed over to the Gentiles, and will be ridiculed, and abused, and spit upon…’

vs33 ‘…and after they have flogged Him, they will kill Him; and on the third day He will rise…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

All three times, the apostles didn’t understand what Jesus was telling them.

And maybe as amazing, all three times the apostles were afraid to question Jesus … they had been with Him for three (3) years, and they were afraid … did they not learn anything? How many years do you say you’ve been with Jesus and you still don’t know Him.

Mark 9:32 ‘…But they did not understand this statement, and they were afraid to ask Him…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Luke 9:45 ‘…But they did not understand this statement, and it was concealed from them so that they would not comprehend it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this statement…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Luke 18:34 ‘…The disciples understood none of these things, and the meaning of this statement was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend the things that were said…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

On the first Easter morning, the Bible again shows us the apostles didn’t know what was going on.

In Matthew 28, Mark 16 and Luke 24; the apostles didn’t find out that Jesus was risen from the tomb until Mary came running to them.

Matthew 28:7 ‘…And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you to Galilee. There you will see Him; behold, I have told you…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Mark 16:7 ‘…But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see Him, just as He told you…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Luke 24:9 ‘…and returned from the tomb and reported all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

Any writing before this time was all to the Jewish believer. None of it was for the Gentile.

It couldn’t have been the writers fault because they didn’t understand, they didn’t know.

They didn’t know about the resurrection until that very first EASTER morning.

For us Gentile believers today in the 21st century, BELIEVE what the Bible tells us, and in Acts 9:15, we are told who Jesus chose.

(This is Jesus speaking to Ananias)

Acts 9:15

NASB

‘…But the Lord said to him, go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel…’ NASB (New American Standard Bible)

AKJV

‘…But the Lord said unto him, go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel…’ AKJV (Authorized King James Version)

These verses, ALL from this lesson came out of our Bibles that God has given to each one of us.

These Bibles are the Word of God.

This Easter, open up your Bibles and read the stories that we have been given.

The world is full of false, man-made teachings that are all from Satan himself.

A fact that we know, trust and believe in:

One day God is going to say that time is over. There is no going back and making any changes. Time is done.

From my teachings, Jesus’ church will be Raptured from this earth so that we will remain in the presence of Jesus, FOREVER.

After that time, when the church has been Raptured from this earth, the seven (7) years of Tribulation will begin.

We have all been invited to His party.

We ALL, every one of us will have Everlasting Life.

It is our choice though, whether we would have an EVERLASTING LIFE with Jesus or if we choose EVERLASTING LIFE of torment. The choice is up to us.

Keep your Bibles open and study His Word.

I love every one of y’all.

I will be back this Wednesday morning, 042325.

Have a VERY blessed Easter.

Jesus, I pray that those ears and eyes, either listening or seeing this message today would be opened to the very fullest and allow Your love to come inside their lives and comfort them. Teach us Jesus. Protect us. We love You. Amen
